Gaby Popper is beyond amazing.We booked in for an initial 2 hour session with Gaby for our german shepherd and he claimed it would be all we needed with maybe a follow up session in a month. I was skeptical at best, but within the first 5 minutes he had already made significant progress with our girl. At the end of the session our girl was like a completely different dog - in the best way. Very obedient and calm which is what our goal was at the start of the day. Not only does Gaby have a wealth of knowledge and experience but he’s a great guy and the 2 hours flew by.I will be recommending Gaby to anyone who will listen. He was very patient and understanding of us and our girl and incredibly respectful. Dont forget that all dogs are different and there are not bad dogs, there are only bad owners. As Gaby taught us, most of the time, the dog has problems because the owner doesn't follow the right duties with the dog.Thank you so much Gaby Popper and Montreal Dog Training.You are the best school in Montreal Montreal.

It was a gorgeous sunny summer Sunday afternoon. Off we went to rescue a pup! We were briefed that 'Mojo' was very timid and needed some gentle care to come out of his shell. I was then given Gaby's details incase we needed. 'Oh thats sweet I thought, but I've had dogs all my life puppies, rescues, I got this!' After the first 3 days, we realised Mojo was in need of more than love and a cosy bed. We needed help. Real help. I had no idea what to do with this pup that was petrified of me, my wife, the door ways, the lights, outside and every noise around him. He couldn't bare to look at us, food was a struggle and cuddles or any form of contact was proving too much for this little guy. I finally pulled up the courage to call Gaby Popper and ask for help. Our first meeting was such a relief. He understood what the puppy needs and was going to teach us! He also reassured us that with time we were going to see improvement. Lucky, as there were tough times, really tough times and we even thought that we were going to have to give him back at one stage.After a few weeks, I can honestly say Gaby quickly became more than his trainer. He was OUR trainer. The support and encouragement we have received from him is only outdone by his knowledge of what dogs and what to do when dogs don't trust humans. Gaby is patient, kind and has a wonderful sense of humour.... which sometimes is what got us through. We have a long road ahead of us, though since we have Gaby's help, Mojo now enjoys car rides, the park, affection and even wags his tail! If i could give 0 star I would. Super unprofessional. We called Gaby to help us with our dog. The first think he asked me was his age, his breed and his problem (1 year old, Rottweiller, reactivity). Without even telling him where my dog came from, he told me : don't even bother helping him, he IS GOING TO DIE LIKE THIS. How can you say that without even seing our dog? Really rude, really arrogant. He doesn't want to help you. Just there for business. By the way, we found a super good trainer that really want to help us no matter my dog's breed and age. We already see progress... so no, my dog won't die like this.

Don't bother calling, only about the money. Honestly, one star is generous. We called this trainer to inquire about our dog who's almost a year old, and has a hard time around other dogs... Our dog is our baby and we want to do the best for him! I have never heard such an arrogant and RUDE response. If this is the way he treats his future" clients (definitely not)

A bit over a year ago, I got a 2 month samoyed puppy, and as a novice 22 year old dog owner that had never experienced having a dog and lived alone, I was terrified of the amount of chaos and stress this puppy was causing me for the first 2 weeks. I remember first calling Graham Smith from Bark busters for an estimate, and he put me in tears by telling me that he will not take my money because samoyeds are not only extremely hard to train, but that MY puppy was going to be impossible to train because he probably has serious behavioural issues ( he had never even seen my puppy ever in his life) so he was not going to even waste his time and take my money. Some of his exact words were: Ufff.... Why did you get a samoyed though?". (yup

Mr Popper is the best dog trainer in Montreal. We enlisted the help of Gaby after entering the new world of puppy parenting. With an actual human only months away as well, we were keen to understand the behaviours of our Golden Retriever pup and deal with some issues that we weren't prepared for. Gaby stepped into our house and an immediate impact on Obi, but more importantly trained us up. After almost having our pup drowned in dog treats at puppy pre school, we were so refreshed to be able teach Obi that rewards don't have to be food related. Mister Popper's approach to diet and behaviour also makes perfect sense. We're so happy that we invested our time and trust with Gaby Popper, he has a genuine love for dogs, a fascinating character himself and we cannot recommend his services enough. I'm shocked to read bad reviews about Gaby Popper......he helped me train our puppy and if you do what he says your dog will be amazing. Our dog now at 18 months will no go off sidewalk until I give him a signal. He walks right beside me off or on lease. Waits for me when to go though front door before him. He never barks when doorbell rings or people come to door. I believe if you listen to Gaby's experience you will have a great dog. He also trained my cousins puppy and they loved Gaby too.

We trained our goldendoodle using Gaby's methods and she is hands down the best behaved dog we have ever had in our family. We will be returning for a refresher for our next adoption.Dog training is much more about training the humans than the dogs - remember this, be consistent, and use Gaby's techniques, and you're pretty much guaranteed many years of pleasure and companionship from your dog!

Excellent Service!! Gabby is extremely knowledgeable and highly recommended, he trained my Doberman and most importantly he trained me on how to work with my dog. thank you very much for your time and excellent work.
