Northland Discovery Iceberg & Whale Tours

We had an amazing time on the boat. The captain and crew were friendly, knowledgeable, and full of charm. We came with our baby and the woman who was driving while the captain looked for wales was very gracious and interacted with our little one a lot. We saw quite a few wales at a much closer range than I expected. We had a really nice time and definitely will visit them again! Highly recommend.

This was one of the highlights of the trip. After an unsuccessful tour down in Twillingate, we took the chance with Northland to give us a good north waters experience, and they didn't disappoint!The Capt was extremely knowledgeable and a true blood Newfoundlander, you can tell by the passion in voice when he spoke about the waters, the life and culture.On our tour we saw Minke and Humpback whales, a pod of dolphins and jellyfish. We also took in the last iceberg in the area. Although it wasn't the huge beast it was when it first went aground in the harbour, it was worth the view!Worth every penny. Highly recommend if you are in the St. Anthony area!!

Iceberg tour was wonderful saw 3 of them. Staff on board were very good. Sea was rough this made several people sick.

Zodiac boat tour was interesting even when the sea is giving hard time. The boat captain, M. Paul, is a really nice person. He have a good communication skill. We appreciate the tour with him.

Simply excellent adventure today. Paul Paul and Kim greeted customers warmly, toured areas with huge beautiful icebergs and provided information about the area. Questions were answered efficiently before and during booking as well as during the tour. A highlight to our Cross Canada Tour so far. We highly recommend!

It was an overcast day, drizzling and a bit dreary but warm by Newfoundland standards (it was that brief period of summer after all) and by gawd we saw whales. I even caught a humpback breaching. The guides/staff were very friendly and patient and did their utmost to find whales, which took a bit. For those visiting from distant shores, shores unlike these take the time to really look as you come in and out of port and also imagine what it must be like here during the long winters, rugged and ice and snow covered, far below freezing.

AMAZING experience! During the second week of AugustI traveled from Ohio with family to see the whales here and this tour did not dissapoint. The crew is very experienced on the waters and hosting tour guides. I felt safe the entire time.15 mintues after leaving shore we saw a whale breach. We were barely 300 ft from the shore and didnt have to travel much farther the entire trip.The tour guide said we were spolied because it was a day he's never experience in all his years! They always see whale but ours was special because the whales stayed to play! Two humpback whales came right to our boat and played for the entire two hour tour. Then two more joined the fun. We even got sprayed.

Seriously, one of the best experience in my life. We went late July 2022 and we saw so many Wales, including killer whales group.The sea was touch but the captain navigated it like it was nothing (he made us feel that way anyway). He was also very passionate and gave us precious information on NFL, the whales and more.The whole team was very friendly and it was easy to get tickets. We booked the night before for the morning. I would maybe recommend to not be as last minute as we were, since we got lucky - the spot remaining were very limited.I highly recommend theirservices.Also, whale watching is a must when you visit NFL!
