The Woodstock School of Dance and Yoga

Best Studio in town! We've tried three other studios and none of them even come close to the quality of The Woodstock School of Dance & Yoga. Miss Allison is the most educated dance teacher in town by far with 2 teaching degrees in both dance and child psychology and it certainly shows in the ability of her teaching and the skills even her youngest students accomplish by the end of the year.She treats all of her students equally without segregating them into competitive / recreational categories and doesn't group a bunch of different age groups together like every other dance studio in town does. The program is very affordable being all-inclusive. You won't find a better studio in town. If you're not dancing here, you should be because you're missing out on the best dance education this town and arguably the GTA has to offer.

Great instructors. Variety of yoga classes for adults. Very happy there are more evening classes throughout the week.

You can’t go wrong with director Alli Drost. She is a warm and caring role model and competent instructor and business owner. Lucky you Woodstock. Enjoy your newest Dance School!

My 3 children have all been in the parent and tot classes, PA days and movie nights! They love going to the studio"! Miss Allison is very passionate about what she does and it starts with the wee ones. The classes were a great length and filled with fun but also teaches structure and listening skills to the children. Miss Anna is also a great pleasure too! She has such a warm presence about her and is great with kids. Highly recommended."

Allison is amazing. She brought her passion and expertise in dramatic arts to my grade 5/6 class. She taught my students about tableaux, character development and many other components of drama and theatre through fun and engaging games and activities.My students absolutely adored Allison. She is kind, knowledgeable, professional, and she has a natural aptitude for working with children.It is evident when you meet Allison and spend time with her that she is truly passionate about what she does!l

My daughter loves this dance school. It’s small enough to be cozy and everyone knows you, but big enough that it offers lots of different classes! Miss Allison and Miss Anna are so lovely and you can tell they truly love the kids. All of the helpers have also always been so great!

Miss Allison is an amazing person! Her hard work and dedication should not goun-noticed. Thank you Miss Allison for the countless hours you've spent working with the children. As someone who is not athletic and not self enthusiastic to workout, I feel extremely motivated during Alison’s yoga class. She creates an environment that is inclusive and encourages to be our best selves without any pressure whatsoever.

This school is a treasure. We signed up because it was non-competitive, and the fees included photos and costume (which with our last dance experience was a shock). We couldn't be happier. Miss Allison is unbelievably patient and gentle with the kids. She sets a good example of kindness, elegance, and poise. She is quick to respond to emails. We are already registered for this fall again.

My daughter & I did 2 years of parent & tot, then she did one year of pre-ballet. That was during covid shutdowns and they did a great job making it work. I signed my daughter up for 4 weeks of summer camp this year as I liked the idea of sending her somewhere I was familiar with and I knew she would be well looked after. WOW, I wasn't wrong. The morning of Day 1 was as expected- my daughter was crying and didn't want me to leave. It turned out to be the first day EVER she told me I came too early to pick her up! If ever given the choice, my daughter wants to stay home, except when it comes to this camp. Thank you for all you do :) We will definitely be signing up again next year!
