Absolute Spa at Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel

Fitness centre well equipped. No service staff. Maybe they work 9-5? The pool is small. Not all the swimming jets work and the water level is low. Seems like some things are not being well tended to. Pool deck area and seating is nice. Decent hot tub. The washroom and shower areas are clean and well maintained.

Perfect break on a layover!Massage all those travel worries away or get your nails done! I enjoyed a one hour relaxing massage before an evening flight. So worth it!This will be my go-to place whenever I need to wait at YVR.

Oof.After many days of travelling for work I was beyond excited to treat myself to a seaweed wrap (60minute service) at the Fairmont spa. Things however did not go well. The facilities would benefit from a good cleaning, there were no robes or slippers provided at check in and from the women's shower area you have to walk past the weight lift machines to get to the treatment room. A lot of gawking ensued.Also, I didn't know I would have to go through security check in again when it was time to return to my gate to catch my connecting domestic flight.The person doing my seaweed wrap was nice. However as someone who enjoys going to the spa often I would strongly recommend the staff receive training on esthetician services. The dry brush, wrap, and scalp massage lasted about 25 minutes and there was zero technique. I would've almost preferred if I had been wrapped up and left alone to relax. The women's change room floors were like a slip and slide as there are no splash guards outside the shower stalls. Two people almost wiped out while I was there.When I was trying to check out there wasn't anyone at the counter and I didn't know what to do or where to go. So I went to the main hotel checkout to see if anyone could cash me out. They located the spa staff member for me.There seemed to be only person working at the front desk of the spa the entire duration of my visit. She seemed really confused the entire time and was surprised that at check out I hadn't already paid for the service.For the price and considering the location this was a very disappointing experience. Sadly, I would not recommend this spa. I will not be returning. And honestly, I'm left wondering who do I ask for a refund lol.

Three stars simply because the service was friendly & very attentive - although maybe abit too chatty! However the products, & atmosphere & just general spa environment wasn’t very pleasant. Very expensive service & my polish chipped in less than a week!

The fact that this spa is at Fairmont hotel is embarrassing for the Hotel. The place is dirty, no snacks or water were provided and they didn’t have bedsheets. The room was quiet and smelled weird with no candles or music or anything to make it relaxing. The person who did my treatment Zenny was very loud and obnoxious she spoke the whole time and I couldn’t relax while she rushed my service. I got a headache by the time I left the place. I couldn’t relax because she smelled of sweat and made no effort to freshen up before treatment. Highly disappointing and expensive for no reason. I would NOT recommend this place.

The staff is very friendly and there is a relaxing environment.

Zenny is incredible! I received a seaweed wrap today while waiting for a flight and the entire experience is wonderful. Will definitely be booking again next time I’m in the area.

For the price and the location I expected a lot more! My esthetician was very thoughtful and skilled but she did not have the basic supplies she needed to do the services and had to resort to using paper towels for my tints which hurt my face quite a bit. I will not be back.

I had the amazing pleasure of meeting Elena at absolute spa in the Vancouver Airport today.I had received a friends review highly recommending me to try out the absolute spa after she had experienced as she called it “ the best massage ever her “ and was lucky enough to have a 2 hour layover in the airport. There were complications + confusions with my flight boarding time which happened to be at the gate located right beside of the spa ( thankfully :) ).I gave Elena the time of my flight departure and she was able to determine the estimated time for boarding. She fit in a 30 min wonderful massage + a 20 minute facial. As the plane passengers filed up in line , which wrapped infront of the spa , Elena did an amazing facial on me and let me pay before hand incase I needed to rush off for boarding. She was so kind so accommodating and was more attentive to my own departure time than I was to ensure that I didn’t miss my flight. I would absolutely recommend attending this spa based off their skill level in massages and knowledge base on clinical certified products to use for all skin types and overall customer satisfaction. I will definitely be coming back to absolute spa and I will now become the friend that recommends it to the next person for their own amazing experience at the spa. Thank you Elena and Tess for your services and laughs today at my boarding experience. I will be back!

Highly recommend!! I’m a massage lover, and I really want to say they got the best therapist!I was traveling and walking a lot in the past week, my body is under stress and I’m really exhausted. Booked the special price for one hour only, and I my body is fully released after the wonderful massage. I’ll definitely come back if I ever travel to Vancouver:)
