Nuvo Physio
Very good service. Knowledgeable. I went there because my arm was hurting. We did some troubleshooting to figure out what was causing the pain and what made it feel better in order to know what exercises to do. My arm is almost back to normal

Nuvo Physio is the place to go for your pregnancy and postpartum needs!!Throughout my pregnancy and following my birth, I was followed by Jennifer. She is extremely knowledgeable, funny, down to earth, and personable. My partner and I also took her prenatal classes to prepare for the birth. These classes are a must for anyone wanting to understand the labor process and to get specific exercises for the different phases of labor. She also does a great job at engaging partners and making them more familiar with the female body. The whole staff is extremely friendly, warm, and accommodating. The building is clean and there is also parking in the back, making it very easy to access the office while pregnant and with a stroller.I wouldn't consider being followed by anybody else but Jennifer for my next pregnancy.

Jennifer is simply the best. We learned more during our prenatal physio sessions with her than from any class. Not only were the sessions educational, but we had a lot of fun. Pre natal physio definitely contributed to my positive labour experience. 10/10 recommend!

Jennifer is the consummate professional. Incredibly knowledgeable and capable with wonderful interpersonal skills, which are so sorely lacking in today's healthcare landscape.

I had a great first session with Jennifer. She’s very knowledgeable and through. In one session I already feel a bit of relief with my pain. I would highly recommend for pre and post pregnancy

Loved the birth prep course with Jennifer and Karina. They are both very knowledgeable and helped us prepare for upcoming birth and postpartum. Will definitely be visiting them again during postpartum and future needs.

Chaya is excellent at what she does! She uses a holistic approach in her practice, incorporating different elements, such as the mind-body connection, as opposed to only focusing on the physiological aspect. She’s attentive, extremely knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend her to anyone seeking physiotherapy services!

I should honestly have written this review months ago. Nuvo Physio is amazing. I worked with Jennifer at first, and then I worked with Shanshan to complete my therapy. Both were encouraging and thorough. I highly recommend them for post partum patients. I initially went in because I was worried about diastasis recti after my c-section. They helped me gain my strength and abdominal/pelvic floor control again. They provided me with exercises and support along my post partum journey. They helped me regain my confidence in listening to my body. I really very highly recommend them and would give them more stars if it were possible.

Nuvo physio is a great one-stop shop for all of your perinatal needs. Jennifer is knowledgeable and professional. Her birth prep course really gave us the tools and moves to help progress birth along. Karina, the occupational therapist, was very helpful in the early post-partum phase to help prevent future wrist injury related to holding and feeding the baby. Can't recommend this team enough!

When I gave birth to my 2nd child, I was diagnosed at the hospital with a severe (4 cm) diastasis recti (separation of the rectus abdomens muscles). It was one of the most severe cases that the nurse had seen in 25 years of practice at St-Justine’s hospital. I felt despaired and depressed. When I came back home with a newborn, my priority was to find the best specialist on diastasis recti in Montreal. I spent half a day doing extensive research on the best specialists in Montreal and I find Jennifer at the Nuvo Physio centre. When I called Nuvo Physio, I was warmly welcomed by Julie the receptionist who was friendly, kind and compassionate. I told her about my issue, my worries, and my fear to worsen my condition just by doing everyday tasks. She took my worries seriously and said that she could get Jennifer to call me right away. An hour later, I was very pleasantly surprised to get a call back from Jennifer, who was very reassuring. She generously gave me some of her time to give me tips and exercises to do at home, thinking she could even save me the difficulty of going to their facilities with a newborn. At that moment, it was clear to me how experienced and knowledgeable she was, and I scheduled an appointment with her the following week (at 6 days postpartum). At the time that I am writing the review, I have been working with Jennifer for the past 6 months for my diastasis recti and also for pelvic floor issues as a result of pregnancy and vaginal delivery. For having worked with great physiotherapists in the past and renowned experts of pelvic floor muscles (in the United States and Canada), I can tell with assurance that Jennifer is the most knowledgeable and experienced physical therapist that I have worked with. She combines knowledge, intuition and passion - three qualities that make her an outstanding specialist to work with.It is difficult to find true specialists on pelvic floors and diastasis recti issues considering that research on these subjects is very little developed. These precise issues are not even taught in standard physiotherapy curriculum programs in universities. Jennifer has taken several specialized training on diastasis recti and pelvic floor. On top of this, with her 15 years of experience working with women regarding these matters, she has developed her own assessment and measuring system, which makes her able to assess and evaluate exactly how severe the issues are. For example, for my diastasis recti, she assessed both the structural and functional aspects of my abdominal muscles by testing the firmness, the function, and the separation. She gave me exercises to work on the specific aspects which were problematic for me. For the pelvic floor, she measures the tone, the strength, the endurance, and the structure. She is also able to measure the strength of different parts of the pelvic floor muscles (the deeper vs. the superficial layers).Diastasis recti and pelvic floor issues are particularly challenging because we are working with hidden muscles. I struggled with making mind-muscle connection with inner abdominals and pelvic floor muscles. Jennifer helped me a lot in that regard in what she was able to give me different « cues » to help me connect properly to the muscles and make the contractions/exercises properly.A few words regarding my own recovery, for my diastasis recti, after approximately 4-5 months of regular physio exercises that Jennifer prescribed me, I was able to reduce the gap down to 1 cm (vs. 4 cm as a starting point). I also regained full firmness and function of my core without surgery. For my pelvic floor overall, I am at approximately 75% recovery, but I am still making progress every month. I am hopeful that I will regain full tone, strength and endurance with continued exercises working with Jennifer. My recommendation is that if you are considering consulting with Jennifer as a physiotherapist, just book an appointment. You will not regret your decision and you’ll want to thank me for this.
