Dollar Car Rental

Called to inquire cost of a 7 day rental . Spoke with a rude, obnoxious male with hostility towards me, a potential customer ... ...How does your company stay in business when this individual as your front line representative treats potential customers in this manner ?I am surprised that this Newmarket location is still in opetation .Naturally I will be utilizing other car leasing companies where the potential customer is appreciated and treated with respect ....If you want to be treated with hostility disrespect and ignorance to save a few $$$this is the place to call .....THE COST OUTWEIGHS THE DISCOUNT .... ..

DO NOT RENT FROM DOLLAR NEWMARKET!My family were going away for a long weekend in early August 2016 and wanted to travel together in one vehicle. In June 2016 we reserved a van and received a confirmation number of the upcoming rental. The Wed prior we called to confirm and were told that the van would be ready Sat morning. When we arrived Sat morning we were told that the van we were to use hadn't been returned yet and to wait. So, we waited......what else could we do at this point? We did frantically call a few other rental companies but nothing available on such short notice. After waiting 2 hours, we still had no vehicle and the person behind the counter could not have cared any less. It was as if we didn't even have a reservation - I'm not even sure he had a van for us! So why take the reservation in the first place? You are a very deceitful company!

We had a car reserved for 10am on sunday. Their opening hours were from 10am to 2pm on sundays. We waited there until 10:14 and the office was still closed. It just screwed my whole day's plan.

Website reservation system is very backdated. It is not showing any car for the next few months, saying location sold out.

The store owner is Cameron. He also works the front desk. He is rude and degrading towards woman. He also made a racist comment. I would not deal with any Dollar rental car as head office didn't even care that he was offensive. They guy won't honour online reservations unless you buy his insurance My advise is stay away from this location and all locations. I'm a just a friend and when I called to ask Cameron what happened he got all defensive. Said he would not speak with me and hung up.

I reserved a car online and when I get there this middle aged angry man tells me that there is no reservation and that I had to pay more in order to rent a car. The customer service is horrendous!!! Save your self and just pay a bit more and go to a reputable company!!!

I reserved a car on line for a company function and called ahead before I picked it up. This rude man with no customer service skills told me there were no cars to give me! He said that none returned the vehicle and there was nothing he could do. A completely unreliable car rental company. If people are depending on you and you need to rent a car, do not rent from this guy.

Incompetence, Unprofessional. If I can't be done, just tell me the truth.. I could book other rental companies. Called Fri 1000 to book car, for Sat,, return sun. as having difficulties booking on line, not knowing rental close on Sunday, so had to book car for 2 days. Told Cameron, that I take me 40 min to walk to rental, need car to take me to car dealership in North York to buy my car. Cameron told me call 1st, have my car ready by 1100. Called 45 min prior, he told hold. No car yet, he called 'person, who's going to return car @1230

Reserved a car and noted what kid of car we need. When we went to pick up, all they had was a corolla. And the man just said that's all we have and it's not his fault. Service was horrible. He could have clearly told us there's nothing similar available when we reserved.
