Bunkhouse Campground Resort

Sid is a walking talking character of a host. BCR is a basic but funky set up. It is not perhaps at everyone’s comfort level but as all we needed was some nice flat grass for the tent, a hot shower, laundry and wifi we were very happy there.

Unfortunately, when I booked the Bunkhouse for my stay in the village of Queen Charlotte, there were not a lot of serviced RV sites to choose from - this was it. While there were power, water and sewer available, they alone did not justify the, in advance fee, for the privilege of parking your RV here.I took a photo of the toilet and shower (cold only), facilities, but decided not to post it, feeling that it might be too scary, even for the Internet.There is one plus to having stayed at the Bunkhouse in Queen Charlotte, I can always now say, I've seen worse " no mater what I encounter in my future travels.Please see Carl Neilson's posted review of this place

It consists of 3 rv sites on the side of the street. The facilities were completely unsanitary and rundown. Operator insists on etransfer of full price so that you pay before seeing the place and he does not provide refunds.Do not go here.The picture shown is not the rv park. It is a public park across the road.

this is not a campground. this is a parking lot at someone’s house.

Worst campground ever. The grass was hip high having not been cut in years. Bathrooms were disgusting. The owner was rude. It was an awful place. Don't go.

For a wealth of knowledge and a hint of intense specialty, this place is great! The place is well lived in and well loved. Take a moment to talk to Sid and get a great idea of what to do on Haida Gwaii. Not the grandest of places, but super for a night or two.Deserved full rating.

Stayed there last summer. We enjoyed our stay. We had a large sheltered full service spot with a short walk up the hill to the bathroom. Sid is an interesting person and quite friendly. We got to do our laundry as needed. Location is great. Almost stayed for the winter this year, but couldn’t afford the entire fee upfront.

Took all our money but no maintenance, bathrooms were disgusting, no showers available. The owner was surly and beyond unhelpful.

it was great! Sid fit 3 of us with trailers in at the last minute. Had power and water in our sites, spent two nights before the ferry andhe let us stay late as we were catching the late ferry. He gave us some tips on local must see stuff and things to check out. Definitely would not hesitate to go back.
