Zoocheck Canada works hard on a shoestring to get results for animals living in captivity. That's why I've been a proud supporter for over two decades.

Zoocheck is truly one of the best animal organizations around. They are honest, reliable, knowledgeable and reasonable. They are so devoted to animals, and they will never quit once they take up a cause (just ask the Toronto Zoo, whose elephants they got to a sanctuary despite constant obstacles). They have the right connections with renowned biologists, veterinarians and other experts who know what animals really need, instead of what industry tells you. They know how the political system works and how to actually make change happen. Perhaps most impressively, they are fine working quietly behind the scenes if that's the best way to get something done, even if it means they don't get credit for all of their accomplishments. And they run a very tight ship, with almost no overhead and almost all of the organization's income going directly to the work. We are lucky to have them!

This organization works tirelessly to protect those that have no voice and are often exploited for financial gain - the animals that share our planet.This small team does excellent work - building awareness and compassion across Canada and throughout the world.
