BELFOR Property Restoration

The employees are excellent and very professional but the time management needs work. It takes way to long to get projects done. Several months for a 2-3 week project. If I had to start over I'd hire a smaller local restoration company.

I have used them several times. Recently we had water in our finished basement, and our insurance for this was cancelled some years ago, so the cost had to be carried by the family. They were prompt, professional, helpful. They worked with me to keep the cost of the job down, in fact, for which I was really appreciative. Very much recommended if you are in one of those stressful situations.

They give out keys to third parties and DO NOT inform tenants when they’re entering properties. This is a huge security and safety concern that will bring unnecessary law suits with tenants. I cannot stress enough how horrible this business is being ran

Fixed and cleaned up issue that was concerning the fellow neighbours . Did it promptly and professionally

Sentimental items were missing which they had said they would save. They threw out all.of the Cogeco equipment and now we are being billed $900 and did not even list it on the list of disposed items. The response was to call the insurance company and list it as unaccounted for. The $900 still has to be paid and we have already lost more than the insurance covers. So essentially Balfour cost us an additional $900. I would never use this service again for anything.

After a small fire this company came out to clean up the damage. They were quick to respond. After a few days they told us our home was clean and we could return with our two dogs, 3 small children and a teenager. We were sceptical, and rightfully so. We came home to a mess. They missed many surfaces of our home. Entire rooms were left untouched. Surfaces were covered in soot still and clothing and linens were left behind uncleaned. The carpets were uncleaned and there were reminents of burnt plastic left behind. Our beds were not even cleaned. The supervisor came out to inspect and informed us that they would fix it. Several days later we were still being put off by the company. We ended up having to do a significant amount of cleaning ourselves and hire another company to do the rest. Very displeased. Would not recommend or use again.

We had a pool install they were supposed to manage. They had terrible customer service. We waited a long time for our pool (which was beyond their control) and the only way we got updates was if we inquired and complained. Initially they told us to call the pool company directly ourselves to get a update. Even head office called and asked if we had our pool installed yet, they didn't have any idea we were still waiting. I cant imagine them managing a larger restoration contract. I will certainly not be using Belfour in the future. I'm glad this interaction is over.

Waiting for them to repair/replace wind damaged fencing. Have been getting put off now for two months regarding a start date. Was supposed to have been completed in July but it is now Mid August with no update. Starting to feel like we were scammed.

Water damage in basement due to water heater leak. Required cleanup and removal of flooring in finished area. New flooring was installed. Everyone we dealt with was professional, responsive and customer-focused to ensure everything was completed to our satisfaction.
