Chartwell Hollandview Trail Retirement Community

My Father recently stayed at Hollandview Trail for a 4 month winter stay and it was an exceptional experience! The staff were so warm and welcoming and willing to help out with anything he needed. The suite was comfortable and spacious and I often would hear of how delicious the meals were. It gave me great peace of mind in knowing that my Father was safe and in great company over the cold wintery months. There was always something interesting to do on the calendar. Both Patty and Judy were excellent to work with and they made the move in process so easy. I would highly recommend Hollandview for any who are doing the search for a great retirement residence.

Lots of activities and social events to stay busy and engaged. Their staff go above and beyond to ensure residents are safe and well-taken care of.

Recently my mother needed some temporary assistance after surgery and the family decided that having her close to home in Aurora would be the most convenient solution for everyone.We called around and after some consultation decided that Chartwell Hollandview Trail Retirement Community was the best solution for my mother and our family.Patricia was very welcoming and showed us the facility on very short notice and after seeing the facility and the care options available it was easy to see that this was the right place.My mother stayed at Hollandview for a month with assisted living for one week and then moved to the independent living floor for the remainder of her stay. During her stay the staff was very friendly and helpful. My mother was welcomed by the staff and residents and even made a few new friends.There were many activities available and my mother took advantage of the ones she could based on her ability and was very comfortable in her spacious and clean rooms.My mother was very exited to be back at her own apartment after the month because of her long time friends she has in her apartment building but Chartwell Hollandview Retirement Community was definitely the right place for her for the month. It ensured she had a safe environment to aid in her recuperation so she could make the transition back to her own place.Thank you to all of the staff for making us all feel welcome and for their support for my mother during her rehabilitation so she could successfully transition back to her own apartment.Sincerely,George

Had a fabulous experience with Patty Butler at Hollandview. I was so impressed with my first tour that I took my father back twice to view the facility. Patty was very patient and positive and even arranged for my father to see someone’s room furnished that would be similar to his. What I really liked about Hollandview was the the actual airiness and the amount of light on the main floor, and the fact that all of the meeting places including the restaurant were also on this one main floor. The facility was very clean. I had a chance to meet different residents and the one thing that they all said was that the people at Hollandview was the best part of being there. I also felt no pressure from Patty to sign a contract. She gave it to me to take home with my dad to complete. She has a very natural way of speaking with people and is very kind. Overall, after all my tours in the area I thought that Holland view was one of the best senior resident homes.

I wanted to share my thoughts on Hollandview Trail retirement home, as I had an incredible experience with the process of trying to find my parents a beautiful and safe home to transition to.I can’t say enough fabulous things about Patty, who has been the liaison between the home and my family members. Her compassion, knowledge and patience are outstanding! Patty is gifted at conversation and knows exactly howto approach sensitive topics (adjustment, moving, failing health etc). Patty leads the tour with passion for the community and facility.In terms of the home itself, the facility is spectacular and the location couldn’t be more attractive. I can't say enough about how great Chartwell Hollandview Trail Retirement Community is. I have been volunteering there for months, and one of the main things I notice is that staffs are very approachable and nice. They always make sure that the residence are feeling comfortable and happy. Also, there are a lot of fun events every day. I am actually assigned for Bingo and I also help during Arts and Crafts time, and I always see that the residents are having so much fun. Lastly, when it comes to safety of the residents and staffs during COVID-19, this place is doing a great job. All the protocols are being followed, and PCR tests are required before entering. Overall, it is a wonderful place.

My parents and brothers arranged a tour at Hollandview Trail after doing lots of research. This was our first choice. We were met by Patty who welcomed us with a full tour of the facility. The number of daily activities was outstanding. A great variety for all interests, bridge, cards, swimming, puzzles, darts, movie nights, guest speakers and many more. While touring the staff would smile and say Hello as well as call each and every resident by name. The rooms are spacious and very clean and well maintained as is the entire facility. The amount of natural light in the rooms was noticed by my mom. The rooms we visited also had nice views of the park next door. A nice neighborhood with a seniors centre nearby as well as lots of shopping. My parents who were very reluctant to even take a tour are now saying they expect to be busier and more active then they are in their present home. All in all, Hollandview had a nice community feel between the staff and residents. Very comforting to know our parents will be happy, active and cared for at Hollandview.

My family would like to thank the staff at Chartwell Hollandview Trail for welcoming my father into their community. From my first phone conversation with Patty, I knew my father would appreciate the staff’s kindness and professionalism. Patty took the time to explain the many wellness and safety features at Hollandview Trail. Our tour highlighted the many amenities and activities available to the residents. I have been very pleased with the staff’s communication with our family. They have used email and phone calls to support and keep our family up-to-date. The monthly calendar and newsletter help my father plan the activities and events he would like to attend. He enjoys the meals served in the lovely dining room; along with the breakfast and all day snacks available in the bistro . The staff has supported my Dad’s transition from his home with their welcoming nature, and by going out of their way to introduce him to the other residents. We are impressed by the speed in which the staff has learned his name, such a special touch for a newcomer. Thank you to everyone at Chartwell Hollandview who have made my father, and our family, feel at home.
