Displays are very high quality. Kids loved the children's hands-on area and the interpretive session with the school house teacher. Q*Bert game was a hit with our 11 year old and made Mom and Dad feel quite old that our childhood now qualifies as museum worthy! :)

What a great family outing. My kids loved all the exhibits and lots of space to explore outside. Being a train lover myself- I was so happy to see this beauty too. The events are awesome too. The full facility is accessible and we had no barriers at all during our visit.

This museum was an unexpected gem... Beautiful displays and so clean. Staff were very informative and friendly. The museum was much bigger than I anticipated... I only had enough time to checkout the indoor displays and it was raining so I didn't look at the outdoor exhibits (I had my baby with me). They use QR codes for more information at many of the displays.... I intend to return and have been raving about this museum to friends so I'll be returning with a group! Highly recommend this place!

My 2 year old and I went as part of a group for an event, but then we decided to look around the facility and the grounds. The admission is donation based, but recommended $5/person and you can get a guided tour if you would like, we didn't, but it's good to know it's an option. We had a blast looking in the little exhibit areas, a nice brief history of the area. The indoor displays are quite nice. My son had the best time outside with all of the old machinery and the train. We will definitely be going back in the warmer months to explore the grounds more.

Went with my youngest (12) during the truck retrospective. He loves old machines, and watching them working the gravel pit kept him entertained for a long time. We wouldn't have left if he hadn't gotten hungry after 3 hours....and I didn't bring cash for the barbecue they were holding. All the vehicles they used ate on regular display, but seeing them running was a special experience.I also had no idea there were Meccano and Erector set clubs in the area. The Lego was a bonus!

Honestly the best place for a days out! Bike and hiking trails lead you to tons of different buildings, old school, church, rail road, tool house and so on. Once your done the trail or so this is how we visit, you can go inside the museum for a small donation and enjoy all the historic artifacts. They just added a kids area where they can play with an old tube TV tea parties schools desk and borad.I've been here tons and I always find something I missed the last visit! There is also a ton of old tractors you can check out, outside.Bring a hat and some sunscreen! Picnic areas all over along the trails. Oh and a sand pit! Aha
