Russet Court

Maintenance of the suites are sub par at best. Takes over 2 weeks to get anything properly repaired, even then they have a different story then what the tenant was told. Honestly if you have to use boardwalk, photograph everything. They have zero regard to proper work ethic.

We had two separate Boardwalk property / building managers (Russet Court being one of them) set up virtual viewings with us this week. Both times, they were no-shows with zero communication as to cancelling or reasons.Very unprofessional conduct for a rental management company.

I rented with boardwalk Russet Court for 7yrs (2016- 2023).Personally I had a great experience, great location train station, shopping center hospital 5mins walk, Friendly neighbors minor disturbance form time to time, which is always taken care of my the property manager or staff. Any job request was done promptly. The maintenance of the property are excellent, any concern just, a chat with any of the maintenance guys no problem. On the downside some issue with the homeless people hanging around cars should be locked I had some stuff stolen form my vehicle on several occasion Boardwalk as provide security patrol which helps . Overall great experience.

There are two Sam’s that work here, or at least last time I had to renew my leased there was. One is really nice, the lady above her (I think she’s a manager, but not sure) is the other Sam, which is the biggest Karen I have ever seen and I've worked various customer service jobs all my life. The last two times I have had to renew my lease I have had to deal with the Sam Karen. They raise the rent every year unless u find a way to prevent them otherwise. She tried to raise my rent last year when there was the major covid restrictions around, one stating you CAN'T raise rent but alright. Doing so using a very vague loop hole because the rent is Technically 1600+ but due to Bonuses" and "Rebates" it is lower by several hundred dollars. For 1600 dollars This place should be a shining example of the nearby community but is much closer to the last step before becoming actual slums.Homeless are a problem around here

Too many issues with crappy maintenance! In the short amount of time that I've lived here I've had so many issues- with everything from them not shovelling the walks in the winter daily, to water damage I had complained for months about, & when they finally came to look- they had to rip out the whole floor. I could go on and on and on. They do not check their mail or do anything is a professional manner. Even the initial walk through was rushed because the chick was almost an hour late. I had movers waiting! I'm sick of complaining and am already starting to look for a new place to rent! BOARDWALK IS A HORRIBLE PLACE TO RENT. DON'T DO IT. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!

Very disappointed with the service. I had an appointment at 3pm but came in earlier hoping somebody could help me sooner. When I arrived a lady was helping me see some options for prices and how many bedrooms, she received a personal phone call on her cell phone and completely forgot about me because she was too busy talking to her friend, in fact she began to use some swear words which were completely inappropriate. I waited for 10 minutes, hoping she would get back to helping me but she completely ignored me and didn’t even notice that I walked alway. Very disappointed with this terrible service.

my wife Tanis and I had a viewing on sept 7 at 11am, there was an asian lady that was extremely rude, dismissive, kept cutting us off when we were trying to explain our budget (which by the way is over $4500 a month, didn't get that far to explain) but when we said we receive a rent supplement through Calgary housing she immediately said we don't qualify to live there and we should go to Calgary housing, we tried to explain we didn't live in Calgary housing but by then she already made the assumption we were not good enough to live there and our money was no good, we currently pay 1600+utilities and have never had an issues paying our rent on time or early. Your representative needs a serious lesson on professionalism and to be more welcoming to potential renters, this has got to be one of the worst experiences we've ever had! also would like to add we had a second viewing with boardwalk at the Ridgeview gardens location at 1pm that same day and the rep there was more of a professional and friendlier, he listened, answered all our questions, not sure what the problem was at Russet court but she needs an attitude adjustment! and I quote ''oh, well your here so I'll just show you the unit but go to Calgary housing because you won't qualify''

I have lived here since 2008 and I am fed up with the lack of maintenance. There is mold in our bathroom and when that was brought to the attention of the management all they did was come in and replace the drywall, they did discover about a year later that the mold was coming from a leak in the shower but have never treated it. Also the electrical in here hasn't been updated in 30 years and some of the outlets have shocked my roommate and I when we have tried to use them, and not all of the outlets work all the time. When I moved in I transferred from another Boardwalk complex for the accessibility of the suite. I was told that with a transfer our pet fees and deposit ect would be transferred with us but in 2012 I received a letter saying that we owe $500/pet as we haven't paid. I had to call the landlord and tenant act to find out what my rights were and I did actually get an apology from our office staff however, why wouldn't they have checked their records before contacting me with this?I do not recomend this as a good place to live. I have had the worst experience of my life living at this place ( BOARDWALK - RUSSET COURT). The manager of this place was very very rude. There were so many issues happened when we were living last year and they took more than 3 months to resolve that issue. Also the security at this place isn’t good. We survived robbery last year. So please please don’t ever choose this place to live. I would rate this place the lowest in the rating.

Horrible rude landlords, management is a joke and constantly flaunts the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA). If you're thinking of moving here don't, if you like the neighbourhood try one of the neighbouring complexes that Boardwalk doesn't manage, otherwise you'll wind up constantly arguing and fighting against them while they make up fake fees. Seriously who hired these people?EDIT: Looks like they responded and I was right to hide my name. I'll give you a call tomorrow Amy, but I'm pretty certain it's going to be best if I just go ahead with my hearing application.
