Foundry Georgian

Management is great ! They are working really hard to make sure you are happy. They solve your issues quickly. Maintenance is also great. They know what they're doing. I have clean and quiet roommates. It has been very positive experience for me. I would highly recommend Foundry Georgian to students.

The place is clean and neat, management is very helpful, specially Jessica and Nicole ,they are always welcoming and smiling and they take any notes seriously. I love summer time here where maintenance wash all buildings and cut grass the place looks very fresh ,Mike and Magno maintenance team they always greet you on their way. I have been living here for the past 3 years and have met awesome friends.

When I moved in September 2021 my bedroom walls were full of drywall patch repairs that had yet to be sanded and painted. I was originally promised by staff that the work would be completed within my 1st week living here. I have been here for 1 year and 2 months without the repairs being made.I have reached out to staff about this by creating many service tickets, writing many emails, attempting to call many times (they rarely answer their phone I am seriously wondering if they have caller ID and refuse to pick up calls from residents), and by walking in the office to discuss this with staff in person. I’ve lost count of how many times I have contacted staff about this matter. All I’ve gotten is many unfulfilled promises of when the repair will be made by but never having the work actually get done.Recently I was given the excuse of with me living in the room they have to work around my belongs. However, I have been very accommodating stating that I will ensure to move all furniture and personal belongings to the centre of the room so the walls are all accessible they just need to give me notice of exactly when they are coming. I am not on the premises this semester (fall 2022) I went home 2nd week of August (but still rent the unit). I have notified staff about this and the fact that I have removed my personal items (which aren’t much cuz I’m kinda a minimalist) and moved their furniture (unit comes furnished) to the centre of the room before I left. I was told the work would be done within the last 2 weeks of August.I gave my roomate my key and she says the repair still hasn’t been done yet.I have had a maintenance staff member tell me he did not know how to sand and paint the patches. If the issue is that no staff are capable of making the repairs I wish staff would be honest and communicate this. Before deciding to change career fields I worked in construction and have grown up with parents who build and reno homes. I am capable of making the repairs myself and would prefer to have Foundry purchase the necessary materials and drop them off to my unit for me to do myself rather than continuing to live with the drywall patches and hearing more empty promises.This is even more frustrating considering that in August and this fall foundry has hired contractors to make repairs on the property. My unit has had 3 bedrooms get drywall repairs made and a fresh coat of paint but my bedroom has not. I asked about moving to a vacant bedroom in the same unit but was essentially told by staff they didn’t want to do the extra paperwork involved to tweak my lease.

I lived here approx. 4 years ago 2017-2019. Very disorganized management when I lived there, I’ve heard it has changed but hasn’t gotten much better as the new one micromanages.In the time I lived there the rent increased from $500/mo utilities included to $850/mo not including utilities. Got randomly sent to collections this year (2022) over a water bill for the month after I moved out of my unit (so was not even mine to pay), and had to deal with ensuring that didn’t affect my credit long-term. Had many friends tell me they were also sent to collections for various reasons without being informed, which for some affected not only their credit but also their parents who signed their lease as a guarantor. I saw some of the other reviews saying this happened to them as well. Had quite a few friends on OSAP (which many are in school) and the management was not understanding if their payments in Sept/Jan would be late if OSAP hadn’t been paid out yet.These are just among the most concerning things. Not to mention the safety issues, no parking (plus people stealing your spot even if you do pay), the list goes on and on. Definitely do not recommend living here.

I've lived at Foundry Georgian for almost two years and am a current resident here. Living here has been a very positive experience for me.The suites are clean and furnished, and my roommates are quiet and they clean up after themselves. There isn't any conflict and we live well with one another.The staff is always helpful and friendly and they are very accommodating. They are quick to resolve any issues and concerns, and maintenance is there all day and ready to fix anything that needs to be repaired.My favourite part about living here is the beautiful outdoor seating area that I enjoy in the summertime. I also love the gym here that I use regularly. There's couches and an indoor lounge area that is a great way to get away from your suite if you want time away from your unit to relax or study.I recommend you give Foundry Georgian a call or book for a tour. It's been a great living experience for me, and I definitely recommend it.

I really love living at Foundry! I have amazing roommates and met my best friend living here! The management has seriously cleaned the place up and they are so helpful and accommodating! I really enjoy the events that Foundry puts on at nights! They have been so amazing in this transition to college!

I've had a great experience living at the townhouse of Foundry Georgian. I have my own room and attached bathroom, there is free wifi and a shared kitchen. The people over there at the Leasing Office are nice & friendly and are always willing to help you out. They hold barbecue parties & other events where you get ton to win something(like I won an iPad). So it's a great place to live and, I would highly recommend it to the new students.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! Unless you prefer horrible management and an unsafe environment. They will charge you for every little thing they possibly can. And don’t even hope about getting a parking spot, they have a waitlist backed up for months. And they will ticket and tow your car without hesitation. Also the floors in my unit have been damaged since before I moved in (1.5 years ago) and foundry will not fix them until next spring due to “budget issues”, they look horrible. If that isn’t bad enough, earlier this year someone was shot right outside of my apartment (like right outside) and I was not contacted by any staff whatsoever regarding the safety here. There have been residents here that the management had known were dangers to others living here and continued to do nothing about it. There have been police raids here countless times over the last 2 years, this is not what I would consider safe student living. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

Foundry is a great place to live! You get a really good size room and your own washroom. Bathtub size is really good and has built in shelves. The community is nice (few parties and noise here and there but hey it’s college) staff is very friendly and do their best to solve any issue you may have. Maintenance is great too! They are always fast at fixing things or replacing things. Staff hold monthly games like bingo and trivia and much more. I have lived here since sept 2022 and I enjoy it a lot!

Communication is not good, improvement has been seen but multiple new rules are made that are not posted for residents to see. Today they came in my house and got upset with a friend and on the way slammed the door, I understand that they were upset but wasn’t very professional of them. Complain of friends coming over on Halloween (less than 15, which is the rules). Apparently you can’t stay more than 3 nights in VISITORS parking when that has never been listed for any residents to be aware of. I lived here last year with the other management, but this year I feel controlled on how I’m supposed to live almost like it is student dorms but this is an appartment building for students but not associated with the college.
