Shell Rd Trail

Beautiful trail to take your dog, I especially like it because there is often very little foot traffic. It's very good if you have a dog that isn't the best with other dogs.

Great trail in the midst of Richmond. Bright and well maintained. Goes north to south through a normally busy area in Richmond. Off-leash and a great spot to check out wherever you are between Alderbridge Way and Francis Road (could be farther but didn't explore more as dog got tired). Loved watching and hearing all the birds.

Shell road trail is one of my favorite areas for walking. There are a lot of neighborhood regulars who come here daily, so the etiquette for sharing the path with bikers is pretty well established. The trail is also well maintained by the city, they trim the trees and refresh the gravel every couple of years. The south end of the trail (past Williams) connects to Serpentine Fenn trail with a paved section, this side gets much hotter due to the lack of tree cover.If you do come here I'd recommend keeping an ear open incase bikers or runners are passing. Also a good place to bring dogs, lots of friendly owners and animals!

In this daily walk, we can appreciate the quietness of the forest inside the city, and at the same time smell the perfume of nature not usually seen in other places around us.

Great off leash dog trail. The trail has been resurfaced along with removal of hazardous trees.

It's such a beautiful trail for walking/ running... And it's quite long so it's nice as u don't have to keep going round a small area.... Even in the winter there's lots of trees and greenery and fresh air. I recommend walking here! I start off near the river, see the ducks and cross the road and start the trail, it's very pleasant, and u come to akother road u can cross over to the other side of the path.. The path has been done well, the stones have been pressed down well. It's smooth for walking. There r some dogs unleashed so that is not very convenient for some, but over all its an awesome place and I believe in the summer it would be even more beautiful! Can't wait to go there in the summer.
