The Marlborough Hotel

I booked a room for my son who was driving through Winnipeg. In the reservation it is noted he would arrive late. Upon arriving, he was told his room was not available. After phoning me to confirm, I resent him the paid confirmation email.The bully at the front desk sent my son out a second time as he said there wasn’t a room for him.My son had to sleep in his car in the winter cold in downtown Winnipeg. There were no hotels with rooms.After several unanswered emails and phone calls, the manager Johnny said he would look into it. He then started to refuse my calls and never replied. Then I spoke to the other manager Rakiv, who assured me the room was probably there but ‘not cleaned yet for my son’. He arrived after midnight, let me note.The booking agent states the hotel has been paid but refuses to refund my $152.00CAD. It has been over a month and unbelievable how horribly ignorant we have been treated. ..the punk at the front desk sending my son away for no good reason, to the management ignoring my emails and calls, to the staff who answers the phone… there is no apology and they have my money

Never again"the place is sketchy

Please do not book hotel here! Filthiest hotel on earth! We checked-in here with our 2 kids at 3am. Rooms are disgusting! The whole building smells really bad! The bedsheets smells horrible! We can’t really breath as soon as we enter the room. So we ended up not to stay there. I am not gonna let my kids to sleep in that place. What a nightmare! We just need a full refund!

So first, apparently you can’t book through their own website because the reservation won’t go through. Second the rooms are in terrible disrepair and they look like the cleaning staff has never set foot in the rooms. The bathroom door did not shut in our room, and I had to use a coffee stir stick to shut off the bedside light because the switch was pushed all the way into the fixture. We only booked because of how close it was to the Canada life centre, but just ended up driving home instead as the room was actually a biohazard. Please do yourself a favour and do not stay here!!

SAVE YOUR MONEY. This is the dumpiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The ceiling is falling apart, stains EVERYWHERE, the bathroom door doesn't close AT ALL, the lobby is decent looking but the elevator is filthy and our hallway smelt like dirty racoons. Our 2 nights were non-refundable but we are leaving after tonight and going elsewhere because it's just so bad.

Marlborough Hotel located in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. It is a very neat, well administered hotel that responds urgently and positively to their customers needs. The security apparel is encouraging. It has a very good parking lot. The room is comfortable at various price levels. They have confidence in their customers. They are very courteous in their dealings with the customers.

A family member is staying for 10 days visiting Vancouver. There is no ac, pool is broken, light bulbs missing in room lamps, no screen on windows. Too much more to mention. Very disappointing. Horrible! Clearly management doesn’t care about how their hotel looks or is being run.
