I have been going to Purple Dragon for over ten years now! I love it! It's a support system that teaches Discipline, Fitness, Respect, and a Healthy Lifestyle. The instructors are passionate and supportive of the students. It is a fantastic Family community to be a part of. I highly recommend Purple Dragon Kitsilano!

It’s a great martial arts school!!!

I always wanted to try martial arts and at 45 years of age i finally got my chance! My family of 4 attended the free introductory saturday family class and found the Dojo welcoming and fun! The friendly instructors were patient and informative and the classes were exhausting , challenging and practical for self-defense. I was truly impressed with Sensei Amber Murphy as she was strong, confident, fair and taught important moral lessons and is physically gifted! She is a very special person who bestows confidence , honor , respect ,strenght and caring into all those she touches. I can highly recomend Don Jitsu to all those who seek to learn self defence techniques in a mixed style martial art with practical applications. I am hooked now and have been attending this fine school for 2 and 1/2 years and proudly wear a blue belt bar1 ! The professor Don Jacob travels to Canada from his home in Trinidad to perform belt grading every 6 months and is a uniquely amazing speaker , martial arts instructor and founder of our style! I love being part of the Purple Dragon Family - it is simply life changing!!

The Instructors at Purple Dragon Kitsilano are so friendly and welcoming! The location is also great with lots of great cafes and parks to enjoy the rest of your Saturday morning!Moreover, Shihan Murphy's kickboxing classes are well thought out and challenging. The first time I tried it, I was scared of not being able to keep up with the class and not being physically fit enough. However, everyone was soo supportive! Exercises are modified to meet your needs and to match your current fitness level. Thank you for making my first kickboxing experience pleasant and fun!Best,Katie Aston
