HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! Everything will be great until you actually move in and see what a disaster management is.Let’s forget about the typical complaints of roaches and bugs. The management will literally tell you to go to Dollar Guy and purchase roach powder if you want roaches temporarily gone.Most importantly, Be prepared to have the amenities, especially the POOL, closed or have the hours continuously adjusted. If you are a normal person, with normal hours, and a normal routine - this place is not for you. Because the hours of the amenities at this building change unexpectedly WEEKLY if not daily!!! If you want to use the pool - guess what- IT WILL BE CLOSED DUE TO “maintainance” which is just management being lazy at doing their job. They lack having a system in place to ensure the building is running smoothly.First they were blaming COVID for all the issues, now, time to play the “maintainance” card or the “tenants fault” card.Most of the time, pool and the gym hours will be closed during the day, and evening too (blaming unattended children at the pool, TOTALLY FALSE). The ridiculous part is that they opened the pool only to close it from 2-6 pm! And most days, not even open it for the remainder of the days.Anything you do, Management (aka Brenda) will respond with “tentants have done this or that”.I heard that Some residents have now formed a private tentant group - collectively and actively working on removing the management of this building and demanding permanent changes that are consistent. Waiting for them to create a petition, because this management needs to GO!!!

I have lived here for 11 years and I called this place my home I have lived in some nasty places in Toronto the hard work of peopel that keep this place clean but we all have to work together the peopel in the office do there best , we have understand this is a big building and they try to meet everyone's needs I feel safe in this building I feel bad for the peopel that have bug issues but this city life and the management do there best to keep on top of it Lira and Brenda are angels and do there best to help everyone ❤ and the peopel who live here are fantastic nices peopel I ever meet the maintenance peopel have a hard job having to deal with so many units the cleaning people do there best so I want to thank them very much and if you think this is bad come and talk to me and I give some story's of some places I lived in Toronto and Canada and god bless this building

Such a Shame: No service or even the courtesy to respond to people who have not missed rent payments even during this emergency.covid19 update: Requested the usual rent receipts for tax purposes and have not received anything even after 3 weeks. Most emails go unanswered. The answers I have received so far gave a new date every time and of course none were met. I have wasted over 3 weeks waiting for them. I wish I was told that it is not possible currently. I am sure the only department that is working day and night is the rent collection.Update: So the parking problem is finally solved :) I am changing my ratings to a 5 star as I liked this building otherwise. I thank Louis and Gina for helping me out and dealing very professionally.Waiting for parking for two months now but looks like I am not going to get it even in an year the way they deal with it. I liked this building for few reasons but parking is a daily stress and will leave for this reason alone. Visitors parking is always full. Almost no chance after 6pm and on weekends.

They stole the items that were inside my car in the internal parking lot. Upon contacting management, I was brushed off and told that if I wasn't happy living in this place I could move out. The employees are great people, but the management is horrible.

By far the worst management. The most Disrespectful unprofessional people ever. They lie and put peoples credits in jeopardy and when you try to resolve the issue they disregard you and still tell you they have no time and will deal with it when they feel like it.That is completely untrue we have been patient for nearly 2 months and havent got a response and im constantly told that the manager is always to busy to talk and resolve the problem. So yes i did call constantly because the staff kept ignoring us and giving excuses if two months isnt long enough to take care of a matter of this urgency than please tell how long i should wait.

All I can say is I am shocked that this building has horrible management takes forever for things to get fixed they wait last minute for the situation to get worse so that they can actually fix what is broken or needs to be replaced. Building is old needs a BIG upgrade! This building has potential but clearly they don’t care about how people live. Very disappointed!!!

For the past nine years, I've called this place home. This building has deteriorated from good to bad. After I move out, I will absolutely call 311 and report this building. I've never had a problem with employees who work in the building. Louay and I were excellent friends. Brenda is also a fantastic supervisor, however the front desk employees(brown lady with curly hair! almost going bald!!!) she has hired is forcing me to leave. It's taken me a long time to get my lights for room fixed.

This is my first year at academy place and I have had family live here before and they said it was a good building. Now I don’t think that’s the case. Poor management, roaches in the kitchen, horrible smell in the parking garage, poor cleaning, dirty indoor pool, sauna not working, no AC in the gym and so much more. This place such be a nice place to live but at this moment in time it’s not. It’s pretty sad because people are paying with their hard working money for rent and for return they get this? Come on Academy place do better!

Ive been living here for the past 2 years and i LOVED it. Very good management, they were very helpful every time I needed something and also very approachable. The apartment was very clean when we moved in and they repainted it. I recommend it !!! I feel very safe in the building and underground parking as well.

One word to describe the horrors of living in this place:SURREAL"Horrific!!!!!!! The rapid multiplication of Roaches and the apathy of the management in dealing with the issue is appalling!!! Gives a bad image of the Province and its values in terms of Housing Inspection
