GROOMING BY THE LAKE

Wonderful place to have your dog groomed. Excellent job and just what I wanted. I would recommend for all types of dogs

I've been taking my Dachshund puppy to them for 6 months. She tends to be a bit nervous around strangers, however every time I drop her off and pick her up she is happy and not at all nervous or anxious. They are just great !!!! Would highly recommend Grooming by the Lake to any dog owner.

The absolute best! I bring both my boys here and get nothing but compliments every groom. The ladies here work with what you want and are great with our pups.

So yesterday I brought my Gigi in for her first experience with Brandy. I was recommended by a client of Grooming by the Lake. Gigi had had a horrible experience with another groomer, literally traumatized and injured my dog. But the client told me his experience with Brandy was all good. When I called Brandy to make an appointment, I told her about the bad experience gigi had with last groomer. Brandy was understanding and and I felt reassured. Gigi was great after I picked her up. Her bad experience had her cowering for hours. With Brandy, she was her bouncy, happy go lucky self. And I use that as a TRUE measure of how good a groomer is. And secondly, Brandy did a great grooming job. And I highly recommend Grooming by the Lake!

Brandi is simply the best. Couldn’t have been more helpful to me as I was dog sitting and didn’t know much about this little guy. Brandi not only shared a lot of dog rearing wisdom, did an outstanding job of grooming my Pomeranian, but she also gave me some products to use and loaned me a collar. She’s terrific and I highly recommend her!

Took my dog there for the first time. They squeezed me in. They are super nice and did a fantastic job. Found my new groomer.

Love this place..she's the only one that can handle cutting my Bengal cat nails..Murphy..and my Pitty dog Rosie's nails..highly recommend

I don’t think I can ever say enough nice things to explain how wonderful Brandy and Danielle are. I brought my newly rescued dog to her and explained the issues we’ve been having with him but he needed a grooming desperately. They assured me they could handle it and made me feel so much better before bringing him in. I came back to a whole new dog who seems way more confident now and they handled him so well! I’m so thankful I found them, I trust her whole heartedly and could never thank them enough for helping me with this transition. I can’t wait to bring him back to see them!

In 2019 we rescued a 10 yo Pom who is difficult to groom, more so the older he gets. Brandy was great and had a gift in handling him. Sadly we’ve moved and I have tried a 3 groomers who gave up.

We have scheduled and brought our 4 month puppy for grooming here. He happily went the grooming salon workers, who pleasantly met him. Our puppy loves people.A few hours later, we got a call, but the voice of the groomer did not sound as happy-pleasant as it was. We were told that our puppy is ready to be picked up.When we came, our puppy was very stressed and anxious. He was under stress for 3 days even at home after that.We picked him and paid for the service. We thought that may be he was anxious because he missed us, but he was never ever that anxious before and for so long...The weirdest and most concerning thing was that for a day after this grooming salon, he did not poo at all, first time in its lifetime. Then, a day later, he resumed pooing, but he would do it right in the middle of the room and quickly eat it! When he was outside, he would also eat it.Who taught him to do this? It makes us think that he was treated too strictly for pooing in the salon.We thought that maybe he got scared of any of grooming procedures. We went to a friend who has own pet grooming salon in Richmond Hill. She tested and he was not scared of any of them.We cannot be sure, but all this seems to be indicating that something stressful happened to him in this salon that has to do with something related to him pooing. We don't understand what the groomers could of done to him to cause this.We never came back to this grooming salon. At the other grooming salon, this never happened.
