Overall very pleased with the service. We have two gas fireplaces in our new-to-us home and they are a bit older. We called to have them serviced, inspected and cleaned when we first moved into the home. They did a great job cleaning and even spray painted the frame with a matte black to update it and freshen it up. One of the fireplaces is much older and was not working well when we switched it on. It would intermittently either not turn on or would turn off on its own, etc. The service tech came back a second time with a new switch and installed it and completely resolved the issue. All in the initial cost. This was awesome and quite unexpected. The service tech was friendly, timely and genuinely wanted to give us the best service.Unfortunately, after the service we noticed that there was a crack in the bottom of one of the fireplaces glass. We brought this to the attention of the tech and were immediately offered a replacement glass with no cost to us. The tech came to take measurements, etc. This is where I take one star off the rating because after this we did not hear back from the tech or company for many months. It was almost forgotten about as it was summer and we didn't use the fireplace. We did end up following up and there was an immediate response. The glass was ordered and shortly after the new glass was installed.During our first use of the fireplace after the new glass, the glass exploded or rather shattered. It was quite scary as one of us were quite close to the fireplace. It was quite shocking actually. The response by the tech was really good though. Again, we had an immediate response (late Saturday night) and the tech was very concerned and apologetic. It was taken seriously, which we really appreciate as someone could have been hurt. The glass manufacturer was contacted by the tech and was informed that there was likely a hairline crack in the glass upon install which weakened the glass. We were offered another replacement. At this time, we voiced our concerns over this occurring again (naturally). The tech assured us that we would have a higher quality replacement. We were told that this time the replacement glass would be ceramic, the highest quality and most expensive. Apparently about $800 for the glass alone and it would be Alberta Wholesale Fireplaces that would have to incur the cost. They did not ask us to pay for anything!!!!! Which is what we would expect, however not all companies are this honest and willing to make things right. The new glass was ordered, and installed. The tech had stayed and turned it on for at least 20 min to ensure no issues.Overall this situation was handled very well. We had no issues communicating with the techs and at all times we felt as though the company wanted to make things right for us without any difficulties. This is what old school service looks like and we highly value local companies such as this. We will absolutely stick with this company for any fireplace needs we have and we are happy to recommend to any friends and family. You have earned our loyalty. I have not bought a fireplace from AWF. I did need to perform some service on behalf of a customer and needed parts information, for the glass specifically. JR was incredibly prompt and extremely thorough in his response to me.I work with a lot of service providers and this experience was in my top 3 which I consider exceptional considering that my top list has businesses with whom I already have established a relationship.

Alberta Wholesale Fireplaces Ltd has a business model based on integrity, customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relationships. This family business serves its clients with first class workmanship and does not attempt to cut corners. My wife and I were immediately impressed with the knowledge and interest Steve had in wood burning stoves. His excitement to share his work was valuable and very helpful when needing to make a decision. Steve's team does their work incredibly well and are experienced to ensure codes are adhered to from stove to rain cap. The materials used are all above par and were exactly what we were looking for in our home. We purchased the Invicta Kazan GA stove which is an imported cast iron stove from France. This wood stove is beyond extraordinary and brings a very welcoming atmosphere to our home (see attached picture). We also asked for the chimney to be enclosed, and Steve was very willing to have his team do this for us (see attached picture - note that we tiled it ourselves). We are incredibly pleased with this first class experience from start to finish. If you are considering a wood stove or any type stove for that matter, I would highly recommend you meet Steve and his team and base your choice on what this company values most - YOU!

Had this company install a fire place for me a few years ago, and nothing about the experience was professional or simple. Poor communication, being ignored in the store. Being pushed into a product I didn't want after saying multiple times I didn't like because it would have been more work for them, they finally used the product I originally asked for. But the worst part is my stove was never installed correctly. I have had multiple people tell me it was never installed correctly, even the distance requirements on the back of the stove say it's it's installed to close to the wall. They never got a permit and meet provided me with a wett inspection after asking multiple times. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company and these guys at all costs. I don't care if you installed the $100000 fire place in Rogers arena. You installed this stove wrong! I am not going to just remove the wood stove and chimney as there will be no way I can in good conscience sell my house to a future buyer.

Alberta wholesale fireplace did an excellent job removing my old wood fireplace, insulating the space, and installing a new natural gas fireplace to code.Pros:They were timely, clean and respectful.They accepted payment after the job was done.Cons:They did not commission the fireplace before they left and I had a hard time getting it started.During one of my calls I got told how to care and maintain the fireplace instead of being told after they installed it.They ran out of caulk to put around some holes. I was told they would come back and fix it but never did. I just filled them in myself.Overall, great local contractors. Would recommend.

We did a fireplace update removing a dated traditional fireplace with a more modern linear fireplace. Dealing with Steve was a pleasure, he helped answer all of our questions and address our concerns. Steve was down to earth, no pressure at all and had a genuine interest to help us and make sure we were happy with our decisions.Rob who completed the install was on time, professional, took great care to protect the surroundings and cleaned up everything after they were done. A person wouldn't have known they were there. Even when we decided that we would have preferred to lower the fireplace box, explaining the situation to Steve, he stepped up, arranged to lower the unit and it was done with no fuss, the only thing Steve said is I want to ensure you folks are happy. That's going above and beyond, that's old school service a person values!Steve and his people are friendly, knowledgable and deal honestly with people, treating them as good neighbours or valued friends.Alberta Wholesale Fireplaces may or many not be the least expensive provider for fireplaces in Edmonton, but the level of service, the feeling of knowing your in good hands makes them the obvious best choice in my opinion and experience.

Steve was excellent to deal with in getting my fireplace WETT inspected. I approached a few other inspectors, and none were remotely interested in helping me or answering my questions about the install, clearances, and code. Steve on the other hand was always responsive and helpful even before a dollar exchanged hands. When it came time to do the inspection he was fair and thorough.I would highly recommend the team at Alberta Wholesale Fireplaces

Steve came out to take a look and do measurements for our new gas fireplace, we ordered our fireplace took a bit longer but do to the shipping delays it finally came in. Pleasant guys who came in to install cleaned up after them selfs that was very nice.happy with our new modern looking fire place!

I purchased all the pipe to install my own stove. Steve helped me find the info I needed. After I received my stove I needed some more advice. I called Steve, super helpful guy with awesome staff ( thank you Morgan as well) helped me through the process. They treated me like family.Thank you
