Cochrane Family Vision

We recently switched to Cochrane Family Vision and so happy with that decision. This family owned business and the staff are gems. Highly recommend supporting them!

Cochrane Family Vision is amazing. They have always taken such great care of and my mother. I have referred a couple of friends and they have raved about them as well. Recently broke my glasses they got me in the next day for an exam and they were able to repair the glasses the same day and free of charge.

Love their service and support, and they're also great with kids! In particular, the self-proclaimed middle aged but friendly guy" makes me laugh every time! He also happens to be an extremely knowledgeable optician. The docs and technicians are also fab. Love the whole team at Cochrane Family Vision! :)"

I moved nearby Cochrane and knew it was time, after holding off due to Covid, to get a full exam and probably new prescription. With quite a few options including Calgary, I decided on going here. I'm glad I did! All the staff are very friendly, qualified and have the process down pat. You go from one station to the next seamlessly. Turns out I needed a new prescription and honestly my new lenses are the BEST I've ever had. Thank you all for taking care of me!

I was visiting the Calgary area for a weekend and had an emergent eye care need arise. I called and was squeezed in quickly by Dr Gilham. Dr Gilham was accommodating, friendly and very thorough. He also gave good advice for follow up and communicated immediately with my regular eye doctor at home. I would recommend him & the clinic to any friends & family.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Gilham and staff. Dr. Gilham nailed my prescription and provided a thorough and professional eye exam. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. I highly recommend this optometry office.

Excellent and fast! I needed my RayBan Aviator prescription sunglasses repaired. The lense had popped out and after numerous tries, I couldn't get it back in...I went to my optometrist In Cochrane and they said they will fix it and after a week they said they couldn't repair it...I went to Cochrane Family Vision based on positive reviews...Dr. Barcley met me at the door, said I could wait in my Jeep...he returned 10 minutes later all done, he also gave me a tip on how to prevent my lenses from popping out...I will definitely give them all my future business and referrals !

I have been a client Cochrane Family Vision for many years. I have brought my children to them since they were young (over 12 years) and the doctors and staff place an emphasis on your health and truly care about you and your family's needs. If you have just moved into the area, I would highly recommend visiting them. You will not be disappointed.. They are the best!!

This is simply the best optical service we have ever experienced. As recent retirees, my husband and were so impressed with every staff member we encountered from the ladies at the front desk, to the technicians who did testing and helped us chose eyewear. Dr. Walsh was lovely and did very detailed examinations and explained our eye health clearly and patiently. The office is beautiful, exceptionally clean and they have a great selection of products. Although we do not live in the Cochrane area, the additional travel time is well worth it.

I'm a business owner and have been in customer service industries most of my life, I have never been treated with such a passive aggressive attitude as I was when I came in and sat down with Andrew. I was excited to have his help to know what kind of frames would fit my son best. He gave us mostly eye rolls and treated us as a waste of his time. I let it go and decided the experience with Dr. Jonah Gilhamand the other staff was kind and efficient.Some days later I called to get the PD number and Andrew answered the phone. He was passive and rude (like he's tired of dealing with people). He informed us our exam doesn't include the PD measurement as we didn't purchase our eye glasses from this business. In the last 5 years of exams for our family and 2 different eye clinics, we've never been denied this number. If this is a new policy, I can understand. Eventhough, as a patient, it makes me feel you only do full comprehensive exams on those who will give you more money.Andrew informed us it's $20 more to come get the PD. When we asked where to see this as part of the policy, he didn't know where to find this information. When we asked to speak with a manager, he simply said they weren't there at the time. No solution, no taking down our name and number to follow up. Because of Andrew's poor, passive aggressive service on two separate occasions, we will not be bringing the rest of our family here. Sadly, the rest of the staff deserve better, as he seems to be one of the main faces of this clinic.Take aways:1. Andrew has a rude attitude and doesn't show he cares about people here.2. If you want to buy your lenses online, expect to pay extra here for your PD (pupil distance) number.
