Elmwood Townhomes

I wouldn't recommend it.Got hit & run in their parking lot. Got our car towed away by their management & paid $$$ to get it back,due to mistake of new staff).Their dishwasher was broken since we moved in & we were promised to get compensated, never happened, oven was broken & we waited for 3 days & ended up buying new one,cause at that time we had little baby.Forget about your damage deposit,they will try to keep it.I work in hospitality & when I moved in I asked them to give me list which shows it wasn't cleaned. It took 3 days for me clean the house before moving in, except siggarete burns & coffee stains( none of them we use).By moving out I cleaned the house again & Kateri didn't pull the record, came late, says house was well kept, but you forgot to wipe the dust above the counter in bathroom. I cleaned, dusted again, & got charged $350 for cleaning suit ??? Previous manag. were nice & hepfull. Maintenance is efficient, but new management needs training, lack of communication between man & her assist.We were facing south, RMs were bright.

The people who run this place are very nice, and great to work with, but the townhouses themselves are a bit overpriced, especially with the fact that they didn’t even have Telus Optik services, and you can always hear your neighbour’s activity through the walls. Right now, we pay $1574/month, but (in my opinion), they should be $200 cheaper.

The staff at these complexes are absolutely incredible. I've lived here for four years, and I can definitely confirm the paper thin walls. However, we stayed here for four years simply because of how accommodating, understanding, helpful and nice the staff are. Specific shoutouts to Rhonda and Lisa, they were always quick to help us if we had a problem. Always polite and a pleasure to deal with. We left because we needed more space, as our household has grown over the years. However, if we ever need a place to rent again, midwest would definitely be high on our list of companies to consider.

I’ve never hated living somewhere more. The walls are so thin, I can hear a baby screaming on one side, and loud music(to the point where I can hear the words to the song) on the other side. The rent is way over priced, and due to the townhouses being built in the 70’s the utilities are way too high. Winter months we are paying $300+ for Epcor with two working adults who aren’t home during the day. Not to mention they’re building LRT right outside, which we were never informed of. I wish I would have read the reviews before we signed a year lease.

I liked living here, it was maintained and the office staff and manager were understanding and good people. Humanities are fleeting, but not here.

We lived here for the better part of three years. Rhonda and Ron have been amazing, helpful, responsive and very understanding.The green spaces were amazing for children to play and the property management teams also arranged for sled riding over the winters and a barbecue over the summer (pre covid) along with bouncy castles and a visit by Edmonton Emergency Services for kids to interact with real policemen, firemen and paramedics.

Horrible !!! Garbage spilling on the road. . they never clean 3 of the dumpsters and they know what 3 need to be dealt with but the staff that are straight out bully's to residents. Are lazy AF and I literally will not even walk my dog by the property due to garbage.I don't rent from anyone let alone ever thinking about main street " .. They are just as bad as boardwalk .. They all act like they are a boss of some kind .. I want to inform them the residents pay their wages and they should treat people like gold and be grateful they have a job here in Canada .Be grateful they are here to begin with ."

HORRIBLE.We lived there for a month and the whole experience was excruciating.The walls are like paper and the company said we wouldn't be able to hear anything but that was a big LIE.Heard kids running and banging constantly, even in the room where we had no attached walls. Randomly we would hear boom boom boom" and it went on for hours!!We talked to our landlord so many times and they kept saying they would handle it but once it got worse they said there's nothing else they could do.Worst townhouse I've ever lived in and I definitely don't recommend it."

I won't keep it on my list of places where to live.One star mean I hated it, my experience was worst than that. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. Not even if rent reduced to 50%. Already said no to some of my friends. And forget about your security deposit, you won't get it back.Worst management I have ever seen. When we moved in, there were some stains and damages for which manager said it will taken into the consideration when we move out and it never happened. We also were told that walls are very thick to hear the noise from your neighbour, but this is not the case. Even someone climb the stairs next door, you can hear the foot steps clearly.We made a request a repair for broken dryer and nobody responded for week. Called again and representative said someone will come soon to repair which took another week. Kitchen faucet was not working properly, we made a emergency repair request and they send someone 4 days after. It took them 4 days to fulfill the emergency request.I decided to put up this comments specially for security deposit money. We didn't get the security deposit back for next 3 months. When I call them about the same thing, nobody gave me proper answer. Three months after they said they have cheque in their office (finally 3 months after) and when I got the cheque it was for 88 bucks only. They said they charge me for cleaning purpose. We clean the house completely and spotlessly. We work on our ass off to do all the cleaning stuff done. We didn't do any damages nor any dent on wall not even a single stain or dirt on the carpet. And in return they charge me almost 92% from security deposit.The Place(Har-Par Investments) where I stayed previously, management was fantastic.
