The Stand Comedy Club

Vibes were immaculate and had a lovely evening, however: there was a lack of seating which would have been fine if we had been forewarned. The acts were average at best except for the host who completely carried the show, however I still had lots of good laughs and a great evening

We were there to see Simon Brodkin. We had a lovely time. We had tickets for the late show but the day before we went there to ask if we could change it to the early show. Was no problem at all and they arranged it for us. Great service.

Amazing. Even if I'm not Scottish I can still understand the jokes (like 80% of it). Recommended if you wanna have a good laugh. They do drinks & food as well. Arrive early to get a seat and avoid standing all night!

Fairly small venue but a great atmosphere, went to Red Raw which was brilliant just don't sit at the front as you will be asked questions! Great night

Cool, intimate venue with a great layout. Saw the wonderful Chloe Petts recently and even though I was sat at the back, off to the side, the act was still fully visible. Unfortunately, not accessible for folk with restricted mobility (stepped entrance, plus a bit cramped so hard to navigate with any kind of mobility aid).Decent selection at the bar - recommend getting the drinks in before the warm-up to avoid the rush at the interval. The drinks ledges all round the perimeter are a godsend, especially if you're standing.Arrive super early if you want to grab a table (but be careful where you sit or you'll be part of the crowd work section), otherwise you'll end up in the theatre set chairs, bar stools, or standing. The chairs and bar stools have small seats with no room between them so you're thigh-to-thigh, shoulder-to-shoulder and damn near cheek-to-cheek with strangers - it was a tight squeeze even for my size 12 wife so awfully uncomfortable for me and my fellow plus-size girlies even though I was sat at the end of the row, one-cheeking it. The ventilation must've been pretty decent for the size of the venue because I didn't get too hot (still slightly too warm but less than expected considering the tight squeeze). Avoid the bar stools if you have a bad back.

The venue is good and definitely recommend it, The staff are friendly and work hard but I'm going to guess most revenues for this place will be tempered by how good or bad the comedians have been. So on that basis alone it was ok.

Get there in plenty of time before the act goes on as there isn't seating for everyone, some people had to stand throughout the performanceI really loved the interior and it had a great atmosphere, the only issue was the heat... It was like a sauna, could do with a few fans around especially at the moment with Scottish sunshine it was very warm!

Went to the Saturday night show. The host was hilarious throughout and definitely got a good vibe going with the audience. The acts selected were incredible!Definitely arrive at doors opening if you want a seat. It might be 1.5hrs before showtime, but all seats were taken within 20m or so!
