Expert Casting, Repairs and Engraving

Just picked up my jewelry and it was damaged rather than repaired. They still charged me for the necklace they cleaned. And just handed back my chipped stone earring. As if not charging for the repair makes up for the damage done to the stone. Thoroughly disappointed. When I called to have it rectified he told me it was “mass produced jewelry” and they “get pieces like that all the time” that damage easily. Not sure why this wasn’t brought forward when I first brought it in if it’s an “all the time” concern of theirs.

Service based work is difficult to begin with. Two-leggeds (aka the public) aren't the easiest bunch to please, yet these people always pull off great customer service. Thanks for all the help thus far.

The new 3x labour charge for your own material policy will have me never coming back. 165$ for a single band ring cast. These prices are criminal even in this economy.I get my own gold to SAVE MONEY not SPEND MORE.To add the manager was out of country in a no reception zone" the whole time.Hendri an employee who works there gave this place five stars. Talk about conflict of interest.Will be buying my own gold and dealing with my usual guy with this last straw here. The only reason I ever came is because they have gold upfront. Never againNever see my business again. Go elsewhere.Edit to response : did you not read my review !? I would have gone to my usual if I knew you were gonna charge 3x my usual guy so I would disagree and say the words used in your email such as "sentimental value to customer". A lump of tested 18k gold has zero sentimental value. Maybe my grandmother's rings do but a button of excess cast is definitely not. Language.And your method pigeonholed people into paying so much extra labour or refrains them from using their own materials and paying for yours. So you are correct the savings are imaginary with you guys."

My ring was perfectly repaired, and finished in less time than I had expected. They charged me less than they estimated. Communication and service was absolutely top notch. Absolutely my go to for repairs from here on in. I highly recommend Jeff and his team.

This place is a joke! My fiancée brought my ring in for a repair and was quoted $75 for a gem placement, said the ring would be fixed at the weeks end. We then had to wait two weeks to hear back, when he called them today they said it would be ready tomorrow. We then get a call back from them saying they haven’t touched the ring yet and that the price is now over $200. Wasted our time, no communication and making up prices !!!

Wow! I am blown away by the terrific service I received from Expert Casting! Jeff was so helpful in answering all of my questions, and everything turned out perfectly. From the engraving to the plating, these folks know their stuff. The experience was easy through and through and the final product is terrific. Highly Recommend.

The most unprofessional business encounter I've ever experienced. After 30+ emails of correspondence and 6 weeks of wasted time, they still couldn't explain why my castings were substantially larger then designed. Even after urging me to design for shrinkage, some dimensions somehow grew 50%. I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere.Ron Davidson is extremely condescending and while completely disregarding all of my concerns, had the nerve to say I assume you are new to jewellery"Sometimes all there is to say is OK boomer and move on"
