NAPA Auto Parts - NAPA Pickering

This location has the worst employees. They are not friendly, they don't like to get up off their chairs and they love sending you all around the store to ask different people to get things for you. If it weren't for the fact that they often have good prices and the things that I need but aren't available at Partsource, I would gladly go elsewhere. I've been going to this location since 2010 and it seems it progressively gets worse. Yes for good prices and availability, no for everything else. Over 9 years there have been a handful of friendly and helpful workers that come and seem to leave very quickly. It's almost as if to work there you must retain the above stated attitude and if you don't have it you are forced to leave so as not to annoyingly raise the standard of their customer service.

Our experience with the employees at this location were incredible. I cannot say enough about the men at the paint desk- we have no auto experience and are trying to do a very large diy automotive paint job. Not only did they ask lots of questions and give suggestions about how to prep the vehicle, but they helped us figure out what type of paint is best and affordable, and they even printed out instructions on how to apply the paint properly. They *also* double checked and recalculated the amount of paint we needed as we were way off and were going to buy twice as much as was necessary. Throughout all of this, they were kind and respectful.*Another thing- even though their policy is to go in, tell them what colour you want and then return the next day to pick it up, they weren't busy so they mixed the paint on the spot for us, we were in and out with exactly what we needed in 15 mins.We left the store feeling immensely grateful that there are decent people in this world that will go beyond expectations to help someone out. Looking to finish a project on my vehicle, i decided to come from Oshawa to this location to do the custom match spray paint to make sure that it was a close match (the cans cost 100 bucks and the additional scan is 25, something i was willing and suggesting i pay.) Employee was very hesitent on going outside to use their machine to scan my colour to get a closer match, (are they vampires or just lazy?) And did not provide me with any assistance in looking for the appropriate tools that he could suggest. I think they were more pre occupied with sitting on their stools instead. I will never enter a NAPA parts store ever again. Time after time i have come to this location, only to get some of the worst service ever. Management needs to step up and create a better customer relationship because they are severely lacking this at their location.

A store that sell automotive mechandise, but not everything availiable for it, depend on particular vehicle you have. Store seem to be organize and sometime they are tool on sales. Napa auto parts store products are expensive and not relatively cheaper than Canadian tire. There is an auto mixing painting shop, you can give colour code of your car, and they can prepare paint for you.

So, you need a part, they have it. And for the most part are helpful? Depending on the day I guess. Haven't been super stoked on their customer service though to be honest.I'd give 3.5 starts on a normal trip there, but on my trip there today while I was waiting the young(er) guy at the desk was having it out w someone on the phone, and quite literally threw his desk phone at the counter/plexiglass. I took a step back, I ended up dealing w him despite my best efforts to find someone else and he was pleasant to me, but given these experiences, I'd rather go to car quest in Oshawa, and regretted not making the effort to go there today

The staff always seem to have attitude issues. Every time customers need help, it's like pulling teeth just to get a simple task. One word answers or either raising their voice. It's unprofessional

Needed a belt that they didn't have in stock. They won't order it for me on the phone even if I pay for it in advance by credit card. They insist that I come to the store twice. Once to order and pay for it and a second time to pick it up.What kind of customer service is this? Instead of making it convenient for people to do business with them, they make it harder.

Bunch of arrogant parts gurus working at this location, Ordered a purge valve and went to pick it up. Figured id ask if they had any rotors in stock for my car as I needed them. Guy I believe his name to be Terry laughed and said you gotta know the size" in mm as it shows 3 sizes in his system apparently. Yet when you go on NAPA website or any other NAPA in Ontario they tell you which size will fit your car and are willing to help as you'd expect. If you wanna deal with a bunch of know it all but know nothing knobs go to the Pickering location. If you're looking for good people and a well put together store make the extra drive to Whitby and avoid these guys at all costs. Blows my mind that so many people say the same thing about this location."
