The Lake House

Fabulous. Only wish we would have known to stay longer. Beautiful place. Comfortable beds and great hosts. Don't know if we'll ever get back to Canada but if we do I'd make sure to stay here 3 nights minimum.

Amazing. Stayed for 5 nites. So much to do in the area.Mavis and Gord are amazing hosts.Rooms, the bed, the shower and the water are very comfortable.Suite had a Patio overlooking the lake.paddle boarding around the islands and the magical" tree island. Look for ward to skating on it in winter.Want to go back real soon."

The lake is gorgeous, and we're allowed to use the boat, kayaks and canoes. So that's awesome! Very peaceful and we got to relax and enjoy our time at the lake!

This is a wonderful place in a wonderful location with wonderful welcoming and attentive hosts! We stayed here for 2 nights during our recent road trip and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We would love to have stayed here longer and were truly sad to leave. We can’t recommend The Lake House highly enough.

A fabulous house overlooking an equally fabulous lake. Beautiful views. A place to relax and reflect on the beauty of one's surroundings. A great host and very comfortable and well equipped rooms. Not to be missed!

Our family stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a road trip through the rockies. It was truly the icing on the cake. We booked two rooms, one for our older children and one for my husband and I. The rooms were exceptionally clean and decorated with a talented eye. The beds were so soft and the bedding and towels clearly of superior quality. Our children loved having use of the paddle board and kayaks and spent hours out on dutch lake which the lake house overlooks. It is a beautiful and peaceful location close to the entrance of Wells Gray Park. The hostess was lovely, helpful and kind. We hope to go back again someday soon!

We had an amazing and special get away at The Lake house" ! Mavis and Gord are excellent hosts and made sure our stay was most enjoyable and wonderful !! The unit was impeccably clean and cozy

It was an impromptu decision by us to stay over. Fortunately we got the rooms at a very short notice.The location is very easy to reach and just off the main highway. Its secluded and at the same time near the mall/restos and other essential stores.The intial glimpse of the property was breathtaking. Its a rustic cottage with all the amenities. Our rooms opened up to the lake. The view from the rooms is refreshing.The extended broadwalk in the lake leads up to a couple of chairs at the end. There is also a boat for the guests to use. The patio outside the rooms is spacious and adequate for a quiet evening sit out.The rooms are tastefully decorated. The king sized beds are finished with a wodden headboard which combines beautifully with the other wooden furnishings in the room. All in all the room decor is consistent with the rustic feel of the whole cottage. I would definitely come back for another staycation.Pro tip: Bug spray is essential and if you dont have it the hosts are gracious enough to provide some.
