Kathy’s great! Loved every second of my pedicure and I’ve been getting my nails done by her for about 6 months. Great service!

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience for my hand’s gel polish. I wasted my time and came back to fix some nails that chipped after 2 days then she just fixed 3 of them. Overall the quality of service was very low and the technician even didn’t say sorry about that.

Kathy is absolutely amazing! Her attention to details, nail design, communication, customer care, in every way she’s #1. I’ve been to many places and I’ve never been so happy like I am with her work, and I’m very picky! She’s very talented and so fast. She never complained about the complicated designs I asked her for and she doesn’t take too much time like other technicians I’ve been to in other salons.This was my second time going to her and I can’t get my eyes off of the amazing job she did on my nails. The first time she did a very good job as well and I received a lot of compliments. I totally recommend her.The overall service in the salon is very good as well. I always call them last minute and they take me in shortly, even though they are busy. They have a very good time management. I like the overall culture of the salon also. They pay attention to their customers and communicate with them rather than chatting to each other in their language which you usually see in other salons.

I had my nails done at Solar nail & spa. It was a good experience. But that would be perfect if they used clean towel for each customer and also sanitized the nail clipper and other nailing stuff after using for each customer.

I’ve been coming here for over a year! I love the ladies! It’s a sense of community walking in! My fiancé also enjoys the services, and loves the massage chairs!

I will find somewhere else after my last visit. I wanted something specific for a special occasion and even drew an example. After picking out a pink and asking for a rosegold to match my ring, I did not get either colour I asked for. I wanted a solid colour on the tips and the main design on the middle, pinky and thumbs. I felt like I had to argue to get anywhere close to what I was asking for. I ended up with the main design on my index and ring fingers and she did fading instead of the easy design I drew. I had someone else paint my toes after the pedicure. I asked for my toes to match my hands way before we started. They were painted opposite and I had to tell her this. She changed just the big toes. I didn't care the price, I wanted something special but walked out feeling like just another customer that would settle for what they wanted to do. I mentioned liking the flowers they glue on. The example was right beside us but she didn't even ask which one or even say that she couldn't do it. I'm not happy with my nails and 2 days later I still do not feel like showing them off. The rhinestones are cheap looking, I purchased the rosegold colour and nicer stones at Sally's on Saturday. If you order a steak well done, why would you settle for rare or medium? I settled on Friday and I won't do it again. I am upset that I had to spend even more to fix them myself. They seem friendly there and they fit in many walk ins but I like to be heard and taken seriously when I am paying for something.

Fast and efficient but don't cut corners on good and friendly but effective service. Did a beautiful job and they just me as a walk in. Did eyebrows and nails here today. I am so happy with the quality of their work and was surprised at the speed. Was quick and painless, literally. Usually it hurts to get my eyebrows done but they took great care of me here. Thank you again for your hospitality and kindness.

Chocolate at Solar Nails is so sweet. She did an incredibly good job on my gel manicure and could tell I was tired so even let me take a break and grab a coffee from the place next door. She really puts time, energy and effort in to her work. Also, she made the conversation relatable because I had just come back from Nanaimo and she shared her own stories from that place. Sometimes it's awkward having small talk but she was so personable she deserves 5 stars! Good Job!Love, Mel

I go here every two weeks and absolutely love the job they do! I spent years struggling with finding the right place that would do a job I liked but walking in here is a dream come true! the staff have great service, are friendly and actually help advise on what’s best for your nail health. I would 10/10 recommend
