Rented the skid steer. Got it home and it had no fuel, window latches broken and very dirty inside and out. Upon return The man in front of me wanted to rent a plate tamper and they didn’t have any but the guy behind me in line was returning a plate tamper so I said OK go ahead in front of me because they had to return the machine and clean/sanitize before they could rent it out again. The customer had the plate tamper in the vehicle still, so to speed up the Process I offered to give a hand taking it out of his truck so I could get my rental returned and on my way (he was told there was no staff available for help). Going back into the store three people had gone in front of me in line as I was helping this customer and I was told that I had lost my spot and would have to go to the back of the line, 45 minutes later when I finally got up to desk I was told unless I had a receipt I would not be reimbursed for the fuel, I did not have my receipt($40 to fill twice because I couldn’t return empty like I got it or I would be charged) I informed the lady at the desk that the window latches were broken from previous renter I hadn’t noticed till I was operating the machine for a while and went to open the window. she asked me if I had got the insurance on the machine I said no I was never asked if I wanted the insurance when I rented it, she said I have to look and see if there’s any notes on these being broken or the fuel situation. There were no notes. I was told I would be charged for these broken window latches.From now on I will be taking my rental and building supply business else where.
