TELUS Custom Security Systems

Service is absolutely horrid since Telus bought out Vivint. Last three service phone calls were brutal compared to Vivint. On-line service people are uneducated and seem totally scripted. Do not listen, asking the same things over and over... And I'm giving them credit as Telus just recently bought Vivint CND. They all speak pleasantly though if that is what you are looking for.

We have been with Ambusch for 14 years now and have always been happy with their prompt service and personable & knowledgeable staff.Darcy & Ken are the main guys that have given us total confidence that we have never actually entertained moving to another security company.Recently we added security cameras to our home and business locations. Amy came out to advise us at our showroom and is a great gal with sound knowledge and got us all set up with Ken who is an expert and a real gentleman too.He set everything up for us with perfect instructions on use and great tips for managing it all on our apps, there's nothing Ken doesn't know about his chosen profession and patiently explained to my very unsaavy self " all the technical stuff I needed to know.He was professional

We have had Ambusch Security in our business for many years now. They were extremely helpful in set up and moving the system when we changed locations. I truly appreciate that i can call their office during business hours and they will help with adding codes or changing times or anything. Very competent people. very reasonably priced. We have had Ambusch Security for over 3 years now & highly recommend them. They have always been accessible, are locally owned & the monitoring company is in Canada. We just moved & had Mike come to our new place to go over what we would like. He was professional, likeable and didn't push anything and worked with us to come up with what we wanted at a great price. The installer - Ken did the install at our old place and the new one. I just leave it in his hands to do what he had to do as he really is the professional. We don't like to feel pressured and will not deal with a company or person that puts the pressure" on us to get something we don't want. Never felt like that with Ambusch. Keep up the good work!"

Service is absolutely horrible since Ambusch sold to Telus. Sent the service department 4 emails and did not even get a response. Called and takes 1-5 days to get a call back - can not wait to hear how long to actually get someone onsite!

We had Ambusch Securities when we first built our house in 2004. Then somewhere over the years we went with another security company. But they were not local and expensive. I called Ambusch for a quote and they called back promptly, came over to give us a quote which we accepted. Then did our install and all this done within less than a week. I'm happy to have a local Alberta security company like Ambusch looking after us. Mike was great. And the installer was efficient and fast.

Ambusch Security is a locally owned & operated business and it is CLEAR in their excellent customer they take pride & value in keeping our community safe and secure. Operating a small business myself, I appreciate the effort & work it takes to make sure every client feels important and taken care of - Ambusch does just that and as a result they are our #1 recommendation when clients, friends or family are looking for a security system.

The security system itself, though very basic, and quite expensive considering, is fine. We haven't really had any issues with it. That being said, Ambusch Security itself is terrible to deal with. Last year they put on a referral promotion whereby if a current customer got another person to sign up for a security system, they would get a visa gift card (it's so long ago now I can't quite remember the amount, but it was in the hundreds). This was in October of last year. My friends signed up on our recommendation and we still haven't seen the gift card and when I asked them about it in January, we were told that Telus was handling it and they had no way of knowing when we would receive the cards. I just emailed them again a few weeks ago and crickets. It's really disappointing. Not to mention, Ambusch continues to advertise themselves as a local company on Red Deer radio, bashing the other out of town companies like Fluent, when in fact, they were bought out by Telus. There's nothing local about them anymore except the guy who does the radio ads. I'm so disappointed in this company and just biding my time until our contract is up.

Previously had terrible experiences with other alarm companies. These are a real time, real people that are 15 minutes away monitoring your system. Great installer and great price for the equipment that you have installed. 24 hour monitoring! Good family owned feel when you go into their office. Have a certificate for my insurance the day I signed up for a contract. Had the installer there two days later setting up and all the numbers to the installer and the sales representative, who called to make sure everything was going smoothly! Happy I made my purchase with these guys and will continue to use their services. Will recommend! Thanks AMBUSCH!
