Natural Escapes Kayaking, Canoeing and SUP

Amazing experience today doing the waterfall tour on Lake Revelstoke! Booking was super easy and guided experience with Terry was great. Full safety briefing before we embarked on a great paddle with commentary from Terry. I paddled one of his handmade kayaks named after a monster wolf from Norwegian mythology.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Terry on the water! We did the guided tour with our group of 7 people and he was great. It unexpectedly rained for about an hour during our full lesson before we went on the water, and Terry still powered through the lesson even though we were all drenched! After the rain passed he offered us his famous home made granola bars which were very delicious, and even offered to send us the recipe! We then all dried off and made our way into the lake. We were on the water for about 1.5 hrs and had such a good time. We asked him to modify the tour to be closer to shore just in case the rain came back and he gladly obliged. He showed us beaver lodges and floating islands! Terry took photos of us the whole time and uploaded them on his site for us to download later! Would highly recommend taking this tour with him, he was great and we had such a fun and memorable time.

We had the best day of our holiday kayaking with Terry on the glacier view tour. We had a short really useful lesson before which was great. The eagle and delicious flapjack bars were perfect additions. Can't recommend enough!

No surprise this family run business by Terry and Wenche gets straight 5 star reviews. Not only they are extremely kind and hospitable but also very professional in their approach to kayaking and customer service. We went on a waterfall tour with kids on a windy day. Terry prepared us so well, that we felt safe and had a lot of fun. Not mentioning home made bars which were second to none.

Had the best time kayaking with Terry on the panoramic tour. The tour was a fresh mix of jokes, facts and sport. We called at 11am and asked if there were still tour spots open and got lucky. We did the tour the same day at 1pm. Booking online was no trouble at all. The location is at the southern end of Revelstoke and we drove through a beautiful neighborhood. When we got there, Terry was already waiting for us with a smile. Altogether, we were only 6 people that day. The introductions and instructions were light and easy to follow thanks to Terry‘s great personality. On the water he took our pictures through the whole journey across the lake and back. At the other shore, we hiked 2 minutes to a wonderful glacier waterfall (it was freezing). We also got a snack from Terry - homemade granola bars (yummy). All in all, the kayaking tour was better than we had hoped! 11/10! In the end, we were sad that we couldn’t stay longer. Beautiful kayak tour on idyllic lake. We got a lot of interesting information from Terry about the surrounding nature, it was fun, we laughed and learned a lot. There is a professional instruction how to maneuver a kayak. He and his wife Wenche are very well organized. We have been on the 3 hours Glacier View Tour.

Terry did an amazing job with our kayaking waterfall tour. The free photos he took of our group was so appreciated. He was very knowledgeable and made our experience so fun! Highly recommend.

My husband and I took the panoramic tour with their guide Geoff. He was informative and friendly throughout the trip. He had amazing knowledge about the area from the mountain ranges to the local inhabitants of the mountains. He had some great jokes, we both enjoyed his candor and had an excellent experience on the lake! We’ll definitely be back again!

My son and I decided to take a mini vacation in Revelstoke and found Natural Escapes Kayaking. We did the “Dam and waterfall Tour”. From the moment I connected with them to the moment we met them at the site I was impressed. Terry provided exceptional instructions to the 6 of us beginners (ranging in age from 20-80!). All safety measures were followed and we felt safe from the get go. The tour was about 2 hours on the water and Terry’s “dad” jokes were actually hilarious! Not to mention the amazing home made granola bars we were provided. Best I’ve ever had! I highly recommend Natural Escapes!

This was a great experience for the family (two adults, two children aged 10 and 8). Terry was the perfect guide - friendly, great with the kids and informative. As this was the first kayaking experience for three of us, Terry was also very patient in teaching my wi…errr…some of us the difference between ‘left’ and ‘right’! The granola bars at the halfway point were a tasty bonus!My wife: “It couldn’t have been better! I give 10 out of 10.”The 10-year-old: “It was really cool. I would like to do it again.
