Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF)
I enjoyed volunteering for the OIAF and meeting a lot of nice people! A great feature is that volunteers get to partake in things at the festival for free if they show their volunteer pass (this is what I was told at the orientation meeting). I was not able to get in to see a screening with my volunteer pass, despite being promised I could. Afterwards, I learned that a friend had the same problem, but then the staff realized they made an error and that volunteer passes are accepted. Basically, I was denied entry for nothing. The miscommunication was extremely disappointing.
