Lichen + Stone

We were very pleased with our experience. As the owner of Lichen and Stone, Chantel provided us with helpful suggestions as to how to improve our kitchen and the team she assembled to do the actual work were all first rate. Our project: We have an old home in the Glebe that needed some updating from both an aesthetic and operational perspective to accommodate our growing family. On the inside main floor, we completely renovated and updated our kitchen, made changes to our dinning room, added a beautiful custom made full wall unit to the living room to display our knick knacks and provide much needed additional storage space. On our upstairs level, we took down walls to make a large family room with custom shelving and cupboards and redesigned a guest bathroom. On the outside, we increased the curb appeal and functionality by adding a covered front porch and bringing the roof design in alignment with the style of the house.Review: We have used Lichen and Stone for a number of renovation projects on our 100 year old brick house in the downtown area of Ottawa. We have been so pleased with their professionalism, vision, design and management at every stage of each project. Chantelle is so pleasant to work with, she took the time to understand our vision as well as what we actually needed. As a result, her design and project recommendations were beyond what we could have envisioned while also keeping to our budget. Her knowledge and skill removed our stress of renovating by thoughtful, beautiful design options, excellent trouble shooting (we live in an old house) and working with the contractors from the start to make sure the design vision was met and our budget respected. She also recommended excellent contractors for each of our projects. We have just started working with Lichen and Stone again on a backyard design which we hope to do this summer.
