The place is a gorgeous gem. The food was absolutely to die for. I had a veg jhol mono and a veg chilli momo. Both were amazing but the chilli momo was the perfect amount of spicy and sweet. The outside patio is very nice and the prices are reasonable. Especially great for anyone who is vegetarian.

Gurkha Himalayan Kitchen Restaurant
If you want to try Nepalese dumplings and some Nepalese delicacy while in Vancouver downtown then this is the choice of restaurant. Appetizers like tas, chatpate, MoMo were delicious. Hospitality was good and server was very friendly. Cleanliness could be improved. If it’s winter order chicken jhol momo as a comfort food.

Wonderful place. I had the lamb shank and it was so tender and tasty. It has an authentic feel, and the staff was friendly and helpful. And, I’m always a big fan of humorous typos in menus (see attached image)

First time here, wife always enjoyed Himalayan food every now and then, saw this place had good reviews, figured we’d give it a try.We got the Traditional Plate, chili fish, garlic lamb and sweet & spicy wings, she paired with a sangria while I got the Amber ale.Taste 0.5/1*Traditional Plate wasn’t anything outstanding but wife loved it.All other dishes were a tad heavy handed on the salt, good as drinking food, especially since their drinks are very wallet friendly!My personal fav was the chili fishValue 1/1*Definitely one of the better HH around, good portions, one of the very rare occasion where we actually had to pack to goService 1/1*Amazing service, very friendly, helpful, and attentive all with a smile!!Cleanliness 0.5/1*Slightly vintage feel and well maintained, wc smell wasn’t the most pleasant, not disgusting just not air freshenedOverall/Revisit 1/1*Would definitely revisit for late night HHPaying for Reno? - NoAbove and beyond? - Yes

Fantastic food here. I’ve passed by this place plenty of times and always wanted to go.We got the Chili momos, Himalayan fries as a side, and chicken chow mein. Medium spice for all and it was suuuuppeerrr spicy but incredibly delicious.Definitely recommend coming here (I’ll get mild next time). They also gave me a free dessert because it was my birthday!

This place is a hidden gem on Davie! Although I haven’t tried their meat dishes, they have lots of both vegan and vegetarian options, which I adore.We sat on the patio, which is a must, especially while summer lasts. It has a casual date night vibe and is relatively quiet because it’s not facing the road. Food was well priced, leaving my partner and I full for around $30. Portions are a decent size too! Bamboo shoots was delicious, I’d say it’s a must try vegan option, while okra was decent. I have no complaints and am definitely coming back!

This was our first time visiting Gurkha. Cozy little place. Interesting menu. Staff was nice and friendly helped us decide with the orders. We went in for lunch but there was only one staff attending all the tables . She was fast and efficient but the service was slow we had to wait for a long time to be served. Food was good they really made it hot when we asked to. Interesting bamboo sabzi, and the chicken momos were good too.

Absolutely delicious!!! Wow very unique but soooooo delicious can’t recommend it enough. Get the momos in the sauce!! Unreal. Also had puffed rice salsa, jackfruit curry, and Tibetan bread which were all absolutely fantastic. A must try!!
