UQAM Sports Center

Pretty convenient since there's lots of amenities like a swimming pool and a gym. However, for non uqam students, the yearly membership is a little inconvenient because you need to pay in one sitting and cannot pay per month. It's also quite pricey given that their gym is lacking a lot of equipment. There's not enough squat racks and bench presses, and the gym can get quite crowded at certain time periods (since it's a small gym it can be a little annoying) but overall worth it for the location - there are not a lot of other affordable gyms nearby. I haven't tried any of the amenities other than the gym so I cannot speak on those. Also, the employees do not know much about weightlifting so please don't follow their advice. One of their employees told me that I should use a pad when squatting... This is bad advice and shows their knowledge is very limited.

Easily accessible from the metro station. Very clean with friendly staff. Great selection of classes and activities.

Nice sports center conveniently located with a variety of classes. I like the option to rent a storage box so I can leave shoes and other stuff instead of carrying them each time. They also provide towels free of charge.

It’s good when you go to UQAM, otherwise it’s expensive for no membership.

This place has great prices for students of UQAM and has a wide variety of activities.

As a student I really like the gym but I think it too small and need to be bigger to accommodate everyone

Lacks organization, the pool area feels chaotic, definitely lacks cleanliness. One star because it has signs to simplify your experience navigating the center.

I like the diverse equipment available and the cleanliness of the place. I usually go swimming in the pool. I do think it should be specified on the website when there's a swimming class during free swimming hours. My friend and I had to swim in the alleys when we wanted to be in the free" side. I don't mind the alleys but my friend is not yet confident enough in their swimming skills to do that. However

Decent gym. Price was fine. Worth it if you're from out of town and need a workout. Better than most hotel gyms.
