Pet Valu is one of our favourite chains for high quality pet goods. Was a bit disappointed by the saleswoman who answered the phone: she told me the product I was looking for was not in stock. I happened to enter the store 10 mins later and miraculously, it was there. Could have been friendlier. Most staff go above and beyond with greetings and help, still a great location

Sarah and her staff are amazing people. They are true pet lovers. They love having special events with local pet charities to raise much needed funds and food.

Super helpful and accommodating staff. We were able to get our great Pyrenees in and for a bath (usually a fear) and the staff we're accommodating to Falkors needs.Thanks again ❤️❤️❤️

Just left the petvalu train yards location and wanted to give a shout out to customer support rep Dom! I was looking for something specific for my senior dog who has some arthritis and hip issues and Dom went out of her way to find something for me. That would be perfect. I really appreciate her assistance and guidance! - Kerry

I'm not sure if it's bc they are short staffed or if they generally keep it on short staff but no one was watching the cash. We spent 15 or 20 minutes looking at harnesses trying to find one that would work with a cat and the staff member was stocking the shelves or organizing them about 20ft away, direct eyesight. Didn't bother to ask if we needed help. I think everyone knows about the higher cost here as well.

I recently moved to this end of town and I have brought my dog here a couple times to the dog wash. Both times the staff have been very unfriendly (not even a hello after making eye contact). This time, they told me I had half an hour to wash my dog because they close at 8:00 (website and signage say 9)? I bring my dog late at night since she can be a bit reactive around certain breeds. Both times I’ve went, I noticed their towels smell like urine… not something I want to dry my dog with. I go to the front to pay and sit there for about 5 minutes waiting to pay while one person cleans the tub, one person is stocking shelves and not sure where the other one was. I have gone to the Blair location about 20 times and never experienced this. I will now go out of my way and go to that location instead.

We had a fantastic experience at the dog wash station today. This was our first time, and the staff was really helpful. One staff member helped us lure our dog into the tub with a treat at the beginning when she was very reluctant. Partway through the wash, our 70 lb dog escaped the tub, and a staff member noticed we were having difficulty getting her back in (it probably did not help that I couldn’t stop laughing at the situation and our many failed attempts to get her back in the tub), and very kindly and professionally helped us get her back in the tub.I felt terribly because all got soaked, including the staff member, and when I apologized, she was very relaxed about it like it was just another day at the shop.There are several shampoos to choose from, and one especially helps with odours, and there’s a conditioner to finish. There are plentiful towels, a quick electric dryer, and a treat for your doggy afterwards. And it was kind of awesome that our bathtub at home didn’t get a clogged drain from doggy fur. The facility was very clean.Bravo to the very patient and helpful staff at this PetValu.

Always very friendly service, and I haven't been pressured for any sales. They recommended a food for my cat who was refusing to eat, based on her history. She loved it, so I'll always feel a loyalty here for solving that problem.
