First, make sure you know the exact location, it is the north entrance for passport application.Arrived around 7:30am, there were 60-70 people in front of me. The security guy was nice, making sure we understand this line is for passport only.8:00am mall opens, the line started moving.9:00am I was in the mall,9:30am my documents were reviewed by office stuff and I was given a number.10:18am I was able to see my number showing up on the board.10:28:am I was out of office. There were still 50 people outside of mall.It was lucky that it was not freezing cold outside today. Plan your visit according to the weather . Process was smooth. Office stuff was ok, really taking their time, not in a rush to start next number till they feel obliged to or too bored not to.

Went there this morning for my passport. Arrived at 8 o'clock, the line is approximately around the corner of ESL. With few minutes, the line starts to move quickly as the mall opens. At 8:36, I'm inside the mall. And with another half an hour, I'm in the room. There will be only one line for walk-in as me, anyone with reservation can skip the line. The security will guide you for correct window, no worries. There are separate windows for passport pickup, super short line for that one. And once you get reviewed by the window personnel, you will be assigned a number tag, and waited to get called for your number. That took a little bit longer wait, since all the window handles not only passport but other Service Canada's business as well.Anyway, I stepped out at 10:31 AM, and I noticed the line outside is significantly shorted. So, I think if you're not in a rush, you can try to come around 11 or 12 for less waiting time.Parking is free at the plaza, limited in the north where the nearest entrance is, but plenty of them in south. You can use any entrance to cross the mall easily, just follow the sign.I read all the reviews before I go, and I've admitted that I got scared by the reviews saying the waiting time longer than 6 hours and you will need a foldable chair etc., but from what I experienced today, the line moves quickly, air conditioning works at a convenient setting, staff working here is very friendly, professional, 100% recommend to anyone who needs passport service.

I relied heavily on reviews to help guide my experience. So I will do the same. I arrived at 8:35 AM and was finished by 11:15 PM - important to note that the line was moderately smaller when I left. There is a line outside that they try to move quickly. There is also a line inside the mall and inside the facility where your initial documents are checked. From outside to that initial document check took one hour. This is all standing time. There is a secondary waiting area after your documents are checked. This is what takes the longest and there are seats. Recommendations: you have to wear a mask so if you are uncomfortable in the blue masks, they provide I recommend bringing your own. I recommend bringing headphones. The secondary area has seats and I got quite a bit of work done. Security will ask you to turn down your phone if you are watching videos, or your kids are watching videos. I was doing a passport for a young child and he did not need to be with me. If your kids do not need to be with you, and you have someone to watch them, I highly recommend coming alone as the kids looked so bored. I overheard two men get rejected because they were separated, and forgot to bring their separation agreements. So they could not complete the process. I would highly recommend looking into how to fill the paperwork if you are separated, or divorced. In my case, I acted as the applicant and my husband was the guarantor. The process was seamless. The one aspect of this process that I really appreciated is that they print the passports in house. Meaning, I did not have to leave my son’s birth certificate with them and I did not have to pay any extra fees for a rush. I paid $20 to pick up my passport for my son in 2 weeks. At other facilities, you have to leave this documentation with them and everything is put into Canada post. I hope this information helps anyone with last-minute travel plans.

The time estimate we were given was accurate. Approx 3 hours. Arrived at 8 and finished at 12. Don’t be intimidated by the line in the morning. We had very helpful service. Service agent managed to issue the passport on the same day for our urgent needs. A lifesaver!

went on monday morning there were about 10-12 ppl in line ahead of me at 6:30 am. Doors to go inside open arnd 7:30 am and office opened at 8:30 am I was out walking back to my car at 8:41. actual work with the passport office clerk was done in under 10 mins or less. I was the first person she saw for that day.She was extremely pleasant helpful told me exactly when to expect the passport around April 12 +/- 1-2 days she said. Atm based on the tracker its in transit was processed on April 5.The parking lot in front of the passport office side is $20 parking. You cannot park arnd the mall side they have ticketing officers who go around the lot monitoring and take pictures of cars.based off the information on reviews here and reddit discussions its best to show up early in the morning and wait as its still faster than lining up during the day when wait times can go up to 2-3 hours.

I recently had the opportunity to visit this passport office with a friend, and I must say that I was quite impressed with the overall experience. The entire process was remarkably organized, and there were plenty of security guards present to ensure that the line-up remained orderly and efficient. We arrived at the passport office at 8:30 am and spent a total of two hours there. While it may seem like a long time, I believe that the wait was largely due to the number of applicants that didn’t fill out their applications properly and completely. This observation includes my friend, who could have benefited from spending more time ensuring that all the required information was filled in. Nevertheless, the agent who assisted us remained patient and helpful throughout the entire interaction, which I was grateful for.I highly recommend this passport office to anyone. Even with a long line up, which is not the case right now, I think the team at this office will make any unpleasant experience much more bearable!

A timeline for reference for passport renewal:7:45 - Arrived in line with the line going around the mall all the way close to the McDonald’s entrance.8:30 - Lined up in the mall9:00 - Lined up in Service Canada Centre9:30 - Spoke with a rep at a counter and got a number for the next counter (Rep checked my application if everything was correct)10:45 - Called to the counter for final submission of applicationThe whole process took about 3 hours. It was a ridiculously long wait hence the 1 star deduction, but the staff throughout the whole process were very pleasant and professional. The security guards did a great job in keeping the lines organized and civil so no one cuts in line and no doors are blocked. I also appreciated the fact that he communicated to everyone in line outside and inside the mall (just before it opened and throughout) that this was a passport only centre. The two reps I spoke with over the counter were professional and concise. The best thing you can do to make this process as smooth as possible for you is to get there early and be prepared to wait and make sure to have all the requirements and forms signed and ready. Total speaking time with both reps was probably less than 10-15 mins because I had everything ready. All in all, waittimes should be improved but I’m assuming that’s something the staff have no control over and is a systemic problem, and so, I don’t blame them as I saw that they were all doing their best.

No Country for old people.Came here with my 75 year old mother to submit documents for her passport. First thing I asked is if there is a line for senior people. To my surprise - there was none.Yes, you heard it right, None! Government probably spent more in ads about how we care for the elderly than actually doing something about it. The most basic government service has nothing for senior citizens!!!My mother and I waited outside the line for more than an hour and a half, STANDING! before we get to go inside. Each time, the guards will threaten the liners that we might not get serviced. After standing for almost two hours, we got in. My disappointment grew stronger as I counted almost 60-70 percent of the booth working. Two dedicated booth for passport pick-up that barely get any line. How about making sure all the booths are running and making effective use of them??If you can make people especially elderly wait long line outside, you better are doing so because there is nothing else you can do, not because you CHOOSE to do NOTHING about it.I can easily count 5 guards outside, they could be easily be deployed to manage needy applicants (seniors, disabled etc.).I see dedicated staff members in the booth, but I also see some that were in but out more often. Yes, been inside long enough to notice too.Kudos to the staff member who assisted us, she was one of the gems.

Got there at 7:45 and finished by 9:30! The line was long but moved fairly quickly. I went in for an urgent passport, she asked for proof of travel. The actual process with the ladies at the counter didn't take too long, the line was a bit long when I first got there but once the office opened it moved pretty quickly. I would recommend you go around 7am if you want to be one of the first people served but overall its not too bad. I just went for a renewal so it didn't take too long. Just make sure you bring out your filled in passport application with your old passport!
