Bold Property Management

I had the pleasure of living in The Emerald for 2 years. The units are reasonably priced, clean, and secure. What sets this building apart from other comparable apartments is the building manager, Karen Barody. Karen is an absolute angel of a woman, who cares about the safety and comfort of her tenants more than any other building manager I've experienced in my 7 years of renting. She's professional, kind, responsive, fair, and doesn't put up with shenanigans.She ensures that everything is working (elevator, laundry, water, security features, etc) and when issues occur, she is quick to communicate and give timelines. Throughout the two years I lived there, there were only a handful of issues with amenities being unavailable for short periods of time.I'm genuinely sad to be leaving The Emerald, and would move back into any building managed by Karen in a heartbeat!

My experience here is very welcoming and a very safe environment. Karen is always there for her tenent 's and makes it enjoyable to be a resident.!

Karen made my time at Bold Property Management so enjoyable. She was professional, but made you feel like family with her kindness. Looks out for her tenants and responds very quickly to any questions or concerns you may have. She helped me out in more ways than one and I am very appreciative for that. I was living in Alston by the Safeway in beltline and it was my first ever apartment. I lived here for a year and i honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first apartment experience. The location is amazing and the building manager Karen was so pleasant. She was always there to answer my texts if I needed something, she was on top of any problems that occurred in the building, and she’s just an overall lovely and friendly person to have around. I’m sad to be leaving but I’m glad I had this experience with living here. So thanks again Karen for taking a chance on some 18 year old who’s never lived alone before lol, I am grateful for you.

TLDR;My very first professional, well-managed apartment.Very thank Siqi. She was very kind, professional, and helpful, from our enquiring until moving in. They had a checklist for us to self-check in the day when we were moving in. Easy to communicate to P.I.C via company's website and also nice payment online method. The exceptional point is that they let us use up to 3 storages for free to store our stuff in some days (temporary) before we moved in. That is a very kind act.My unit is a very clean, fresh, and good smell on the first day. It seems everything was tidy up before. There were some damages and dead light bulbs but it was not a problem at all. Now is summer but we do not need any AC. My unit is always cool so we feel so comfortable after being grilled underneath 30-degree hot sunlight.Updated:I found a job in another province, so I moved earlier than the contract. Yeah, sub-leasing is required and we had no surprise. I did following the process. Nothing wrong and unhappy.Just notice, that when you want to sub-lease. They will keep your security deposit and your contract. You have to take responsibility for new people until your contract expires and they move or sign a new contract. The process was quite complicated for us but fairly say, that also protects the landlord.As always, Siqi was very helpful, supportive, and friendly even when we are no longer her customer. Such a professional manager!

I lived at The Emerald for 2 years. The building is great and people that live in it are enjoyable to be in the building with. The best part I have to say was definitely Karen B. She made everything so easy in regards to issues and solved the issue quickly . She made you feel like you are apart of a family. Would recommend this management company to anyone looking for a great place to live. Make sure you talk to Karen. She is amazing.

I rented from bold property for 3 years. Starting out on our move back to Calgary Karen made sure to keep amazing communication and set us up in a nice apartment. Through the years Karen made sure to keep the building safe, clean and incredibly well managed. I truly believe I wouldn’t have stayed as long as I did if it wasn’t for her. She is truly one of a kind and deserves the world. I will miss being welcomed in without seeing me as she could recognize it was me from the way I opened the front door. Give this woman a raise ❤️

Karen, the building manager is such an amazing landlord. She was very kind, thorough and helped me feel safe while signing my lease with the Margaree. It's finally nice to have a landlord that I am comfortable with and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I have just moved out the Sutton Place in downtown Calgary after living there for 4 1/2 years and the reason why I stayed so long was because of the bldg manager - Karen Barody. She was always aware of the issues inside and outside the building and attended to them in a prompt and efficient manner. All my maintenance issues were dealt with in a quick and painless manner. I have always suggested Karen to any friends that are looking for a new place to rent because she is friendly, no nonsense and gets the job done promptly and efficiently. That is what you want in a building manager!!! I have only moved due to buying a place and would have remained in that building, with her managing it, for the foreseeable future. Thanks Karen!
