Metro City Medical Clinic Edmonton

I arrived at 12:00pm and wasn’t put into a room until 12:30. The washroom has no running water. They expect you to use sanitizer only. When I asked to wash my hands that were covered in urine from giving a sample, I was told that there is no access to water in case patients use it to dilute their sample. The staff messed up my prescription. I’m without meds and very frustrated. All in all I had a very dehumanizing experience and I hope to find a different clinic as soon as I can.

My story is a bad one and will save you the blow by blow. Came to this clinic and told my story and Dr.Rekieh helped me that day. Very professional, lots of support, and actually cares about my progress. Staff are very nice to me and those gals are crazy busy!!! The construction is brutal but this place saved my life and have me on a path to succeed. Highly recommend.

Best clinic ever! I've never met more enlightened doctors in my life.thank you sooooo much.on cbc radio i hear the words harm reduction quite often.well this clinic has started me off a bit different and instead of sleeping 1-4 hrs a day depending on dose and and spending up to 26 hrs feeling worse n worse till my medication reached a level that allowed jver 12 hrs a day feeling like a human being, they've heard my pleas and now I started 50mg methadone today and I've been sleeping 3 6 hrs a night. During the day I can clean up...the house...myself...my clothing. The most unexpected things happen when u least expect them but need them the most. Thank you everyone seems so inadequate. What I can do is prove to you this is the most humane safest way to help ppl get to where they need to be.

There is not enough space to write what would like too, so I have to shorten my complaint.When I had my first urine test there the clinic had cameras set up in the bathrooms watching you while you urinated along with the nurse watching you urinate. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. While I waited for the doctor to be ready, the assistants working at the front counter would answer the phone and after half there conversations they would make a nasty comment about the person who was making there recovery on the other end. I could go on for a lot longer but there is no space.

The metro clinic in Calgary was awesome, Edmonton not so much. Some times I found them rude and unwilling to work with me especially when I live an hour out of town. Would NOT recommend this clinic if you live outside town. I've been with them since 2017 and I missed an appointment because my vehicle broke down and I don't know anyone in vegreville to give me a ride out. Instead of letting choose a better date when my car was ready they took it upon themselves to book another appointment which STILL didn't work for me because my vehicle was in the shop still. I asked if I could book for Tuesday, the day after my vehicle is fixed and ready to go and the receptionist became very rude with me and told me that I'm off the program. Which made me realize it's not about getting you off the drugs for them, it's all about the money that's all they care about because I had my last dose of methadone yesterday and they couldn't care less. I told the receptionist that with out methadone ill have to go back to heroin and street drugs and all she said was sorry that's our rules... they don't care about there customers, at least not the Edmonton clinic. They act nice at first but eventually there true colors show..

My complaints are many So I’ll try to condense.Where do I start … not once have I had a good experience at this clinic !! The girls working the front desk will not do anything to go to their way to help you you don’t get a notification of your appointment . They’re rude and keep nothing up-to-date on file they had a phone number for me from years ago and then contacted my pharmacy the day of my appointment as a reminder. The doctor him self is great but I have nothing good to say about the Receptionist!

I love this clinic. I moved from NB and it was easy to switch. I had full carries in NB and since all my urine were clean they allowed me to have carries here right away as well.I see a few people reviewing I was on it for a year and never got carries even though I had clean urine anylsis" that's not the only determining factor if you do or don't get carries. That's only the first step. Second step you need a stable home environment and ideally you need to be financially stable as well because then they know you won't trade or sell at first sign of poverty. You need to live in a stable home environment because they need to know someone isn't going to steal.it off you or your kids aren't going to get into it and overdose. There are additional factors having clean urine is only the first step so if they didn't give you carries THERE'S A REASON."

Metro City is the best addictions clinic,imo. I have been a client for 8 years, & the staff & doctors are friendly & very helpful. Dr.Verani helped me by providing me with an important letter I needed, although I was not his specific patient. I was very impressed by that. I've been under the care of Dr.Clearsky, Dr.Pew (sp?) & now Dr.Deol. Each of these doctors have treated me with kindness, compassion & dignity. I feel grateful to be under the care of Metro City & it's wonderful staff members, including the pharmacists. I highly recommend obtaining opioid addiction treatment from this facility. I have been to a couple of clinics in Edmonton, I had a very bad experience at my previous one , being clean and sober, didn't seem to. Change anything which I feel at which ever stage your at I. Recovery we are all trying to get our lives back on track. I walked into metro about 5 years ago , and in that 5 years they have done some amazing things they didn't have to do. For me , but did. IN ESSENCE, my hard work changed my life but between the girls at the front desk , to the Doctor's , at Metro I have never been treated so we'll. . This place saved my life and they continue to go outta there way to make sure I am ok . I give them 5 stars cause there's not a single.thing about the staff and clinic I could complain about. It feels great when your putting in the effort to better your life and you get rewarded basically by strangers . So YES I ADVISE TO ANYONE IF YOU WANT HELP , MAKE AN APOINTMENT , GET YOUR SELF A TREATMENT PLAN , IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. . THANK YOU SO MUCH , FOR EVERYTHING KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK AT METRO ,I WILL ADVISE ANYONE I COME.ACROSS TO GO THERE FOR HELP . I HAVE MY LOFE BACK THANK YOU ALL .
