Great food, server was busy but did well. This is a great place to come and eat ! Everything we had tasted great. Egg bennies and sausages were on point. The best shredded hashbrowns

Was the first time trying out this place , closes at 4pm so go early. Had the sweet spicy version of a Monte Cristo and loved it the wife had a Ruben and said it was delicious too, comes with home made potato chips or fries both were good the chips were best ! Diner is a little run down but clean but the food and free book exchange was cool also! Saw tons of people coming in for ice cream so that must also be a delicious item in menu too! I'd say give it a try, service was awesome from our waitress too!

It was so good we came here two days in a row! The best Mac and cheese I have ever tasted!!! As well as the menu being super kid friendly and extremely delicious. There was always parking even when it was packed! Everyone that works here is super friendly and how they decorate the place is just beautifly unique! There are so many options for gluten free and vegan! Great place for a family breakfast. And there are so many speadables and so many options. My sister likes how they give you such a great portion of the speadables. Only problem I had was that the food was so good that I couldn't not try to eat it all!!! I recommend so much best diner I've ever been too!!!

Cool old school diner but I get why it’s called waits on nelson. The food arrived which was greasy. Then we waited 10 minutes for cutlery and by that time it was cold. Also saw a guy take a seat and waited for someone to approach him for 15 minutes before he got up and left. Avoid

Wait's on Nelson was awesome. The waiter we had by the name of Tom was courteous, served us quickly and was knowledgeable with the menu. He ran the diner as if he owned it! Worker's like him are hard to find and I totally recommend the diner if you're ever in Nelson! Quality food, quality service from Tom, what more do you want!

I know the place is busy. But please do not ignore customers. We are sitting at the counter more than 30 min and you took an order from one customer came in after us.

Stopped in here on a visit to Nelson.Definitely has an old school authentic diner feel and we really liked that.Coffee was good and the breakfast poutine was very satisfying.My only concerns were that the service was a bit slow but I got the impression they may have been short staffed that day and it was also a bit chilly sitting inside.We will definitely stop in here again when in need of an old fashioned breakfast.

They make delicious shredded hashbrowns. Those are so hard to come by. Very classic feel with Nelson and Wait's history decor. Great way to start the day.
