The Barn Swallow Tea and Bookshop

My family stopped in after a stroll by the water. We really loved the atmosphere of the shop. Welcoming vibes were strong. We had fun looking through the books, teas and various products. We enjoyed conversing with the owner and kids. We ended up buying items and are pleased with them. We definitely plan to visit again and recommend this shop to any and everyone.

Highly recommend this gem of a shop. Just opened, this store was created by Nichole who has selected a wide variety of Indigenous products from beautiful bookmarks, fridge magnets (the Sasquatch was my favourite) to elegantly designed tea cups/tea pots and much more. The store also has an impressive variety of contemporary Indigenous books from children's picture books, to novels/non-fiction works. A book club is currently reading the mystery novel Empire of the Wild. A great place to visit if you're looking for a birthday or a Mother's Day present - or to experience a lovely shop and support a young entrepreneur who has invested in the revitalization of Jarvis Street.

Excellent selection of teas to choose from. The owner was very knowledgeable about her products and helped me make my choice!
