Intact Insurance

We had flood damage in our upstairs bathrooms and the water flowed into the downstairs bathroom and laundry room. While it took several months to resolve the claim and put the house back to order, some of this was due to us having to learn and understand the claim settlement process and what our roles should be. It also took some time for us to make decisions on how the repair should be carried out. Intact treated us fairly and professionally.

I had a flood in my suite when I was on holidays. Although my Strata should have covered all costs and should have rectified the claim...they did not! When I contacted my insurance agent she was amazing... supportive, informative and quick to have professionals to come in to assess the situation. My claim was dealt with and I was extremely happy with the outcome. I highly recommend this company.

Bel Air/Intact Insurance had poor customer service, a horribly rude insurance agent and tried to suck another deductible out of me when there continued to be damage to my home from the original cause and occurrence. I will never use them again.

March of 2021 the apartment below me had a fire and I lost almost everything!Brittany Wingenbach was a calm voice in a stress filled storm.From the first minute I talked to her I knew she was going to help and all would be okay!The settlement took a little longer than I thought it would but that was not Brittany's fault there were extenuating circumstances.But Brittany fought my side of the case and in the end I receivedthe settlement I deserved!I think Intact need to clone Brittany or at least let her train other adjusters so they can have the skills and compassion that she has!Thank you BrittanyBrian Hickey

Don't just look at the overall reviews, look at the most recent reviews! I considered their home insurance recently especially it seems that they have a good Google rating. However, when I started to ask around, I heard enough stories that kept me away from them. If you are looking for quality service and don't want to waste unnecessary time arguing about your insurance claim...there are other choices out there. They are only good with some adjustors providing you with pretty words, but the quality of the service is lacking and there are certainly communication issues (you will feel like you are talking to a wall) when the conflict arise.Warning!!!: If you ARE with their home insurance, do not use their recommanded service providers. Good luck with that!

The worth of a company isn't the words used in a commercial or their self praises to shareholders but how they deal with long time policy holders. Water claim filed Dec/2021, neighbour contractor caused, Intact offered their trusted" contractors and I accepted because of Intact's lifetime warranty. First contractor

If I could give them a ZERO I would . I had a claim from someone smashing my work truck . Early September and it’s the middle of February and still nothing . They don’t speak to you at all the “adjusters “ at this Vancouver office . This claim isn’t my fault someone hit my work truck . I’ve tried dozens of times to speak to my apparent adjuster and they don’t ever reply back or call. Only people I spoke to was their Calgary office . My truck was worth way more than what they offered . Didn’t offer any help, almost lost my contract . The people that work there are very very unprofessional , they charge way too much monthly . Always take your money on time but never respond to there clients . The worst part is it wasn’t my fault and they know that and still didn’t do anything . I’m trying to get a better offer but this office is a joke . Literally left a message to everyone that works there and not OnE person messages . it’s been over 5 months . I’ve been making payments for a vehicle for over 5 months while intact takes their sweet time to get to me on anything . The total loss offer they emailed me was a joke and at the time I had no choice but to buy a new work vehicle , couldn’t get what I had before . Overall I’m very disappointed in intact , and wouldn’t Recommend anyone to them. Charge way too much , and have TERRIBLE customer service. I’ve never heard of a company that doesn’t contact there own clients about claims that aren’t there fault . There commercials make it sound like they’re on your site but they arent !!! And take there sweet time on getting back to you . Complete joke of a company

I had monthly payments hooked up to my bank account and no one notified me my payment had not been taken from my account for a few months. My insurance canceled and now they will not adjust and treat me like I have done something terribly wrong. Mean while I have the intact insurance also ensuring me through another property. They wont sell me insurance for a bank account error.I hold four other insurance policies and have never had a issue. Also we pay our policies 1 year in advance. Very much a big scam!!

Very bad customer service by Mukul. Very rude behaviour. No sense of customer dealing

All the employees of Intact Insurance that were involved in my claim were outstandingly kind and competent. The men working on the renovations were quiet and understanding and all did superb work and I'm very happy with the way my bathroom looks now. Also, I'm very grateful for the work and for the leadership of my adjuster and the supervisor of the renovations crew.
