Flare Events

I attended the flare dating event for the first time at paddle wheeler pub . I was nervous in the beginning . But the hostesses were very friendly and did a great job on the ice breaking session which made me feel relaxed. I would strongly recommend it.

Can we all just take it upon ourselves to talk more in person? The apps have ruined human interaction and no one talks to each other anymore. Public service announcement aside, it was refreshing to attend a speed dating event and judge people based on personality. It was a bit of a life lesson and our hostess was the most positive, energetic human so shout out to Jodi. The only issue was that there were only 6 men and 9 women. I also didn't end up with any matches so I'm not sure it was $45 well spent but I did have some good conversations even if I didn't feel a big romantic connection with anyone I spoke with.When I arrived, I learned they were missing a few men and one was a no show so the women outnumbered the men - story of my life (at university it was 3:1). When the men first arrived I immediately thought that none of them would be a good match, I would not have swiped right is all I'm saying. This is where the life lesson comes in to play. Every single man was so educated, friendly and interesting. There was an aerospace engineer, a scientist, a mechanical engineer and more. One complimented my name, another laughed at my jokes, one told me where to buy the best cheese in the city.I said yes to 3/6 of the men but did not match with anyone sadly.I would have obviously preferred there to be equal men to women so men get on it!

I had the pleasure of attending an event earlier this week, and I must say it was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the event was well-organized, with a great turnout of participants. The atmosphere was vibrant, creating a relaxed and enjoyable setting. I highly recommend this event to anyone seeking a fun and fulfilling social experience.

Attended my first speed dating event with Flare Events and it was great. The hosts are welcoming and kind which positively added to the overall experience. The event is well organized. I would recommend it to friends and family.

The event I booked in Ottawa was postponed" for a month away (due to a bunch of people cancelling) for a date I wasn't available and was refused a refund. I was switched to another event and only 5 men showed. It wasn't a big space so they had at most one or two no-shows. They wouldn't share what their minimum attendence is to go forward with an event

I attended a single event in Ottawa yesterday at @BALT Axe Throwing and I had a blast! I came with my best friend and the set up was great. The perfect way to an ice breaker is to throw some axes around ! We loved it and we will attend more events for sure. The organiser is very nice, welcoming and she leads the event smoothly. Went to the event recently in Ottawa and it was quite an experience. The hostess were amazing and the conversations were entertaining too!!!! Would recommend especially more ladies.

Do yourself a favour and get off of the endless app carousel and meet people in person. Only about 5% of communication comes through via texts. Flare runs fun events with good hosts.
