After searching for my sangeet outfit for weeks, I was ecstatic when I came across a beautiful lengha that was within my budget and exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, that was the end of my good experience shopping at Sangam. I live about a 2 hour round-trip from the shop and was told when I purchased the lengha that alterations are included which also tipped me in the direction of buying the lengha. I had my measurements taken that day by the shop owner who then told me that the lengha would be altered and ready for pick-up in a months time. Around the one month mark, I had called and inquired about my lengha and was told I can come pick it up. There was a miscommunication between the tailor and the shop owner which caused me to make my way there but my lengha was not ready for pick-up. I left disappointed and upset that I had wasted almost 2 hours in my day. Fast forward another couple of weeks and my lengha was finally ready for pick-up. I had to call multiple times in order to confirm that it was ready for pick-up. Once I got there I tried on the lengha and everything was well. When I got home, I noticed that the tailor had attached a different lengha's arm to my blouse (picture is attached). The tailer also cut corners trying to alter it to my size and now my lengha and blouse has to be completely re-tailored by someone else. I don't have the energy nor the time to spend another 2 hours of my day to get this sorted out but the lack of attention to detail and over all miscommunications left me very disappointed and I will not be recommending my friends and family to shop here. 2 stars for the variety of clothing but 1 star for the experience. I would recommend walking away with the outfit and having it tailored yourself especially if you live far away like me.Edit in response to the owner: Again I mentioned above that your shop is a two hour round trip. The first thing you would have said to me is to bring the blouse back and my time is valuable and I mentioned in my review I do not have the time or energy to get it fixed and I expect my clothes to be altered properly the first time especially when I am paying a hefty price tag. You have my phone number, you can give me a call anytime to discuss and then maybe I can consider changing my review. Posting a google review is to bring awareness for other people so they can double check their sleeves and blouse alterations before picking it up... there is nothing wrong with writing my honest experience.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and every time I have an event coming up this is my go to place. Amazing variety of clothes and really good prices to work in your budget. Neelam has really great quality modern clothes and I love this store so much! Definitely recommend to check them out and you will not be disappointed.

If i could give NEGATIVE STARS I would. I am taking legal action against this place so they never do what they did to my grandmother, to anyone else ever again. I hope that speaks to how terrible they are. Stealing from ppl and having the most snide attitude while doing so.Making empty promises, keeping her awake till late hours of the night only to deliver her something she could never wear because of how cheap and terrible the quality and tailoring job is.Then keeping the dress from her AND stealing $500. Disgusting.Just look at their responses to other people’s reviews … speaks volumes.

I love my outfits from Sangam Silk. The price perfectly matches the quality you can’t get anywhere else and there are so many options. From the perfect outfit to the perfect fitting; finishing off with an overall perfect look. I always receive the most compliments on any outfit I bought from this store. Love, love, love their clothes! I have teenage daughters and they’re very picky with their clothes but for every event they ask me to purchase their outfits from sangam silk! Neelam is a very fair businesswoman. I love her jewellery and will not go anywhere else. I thought the store was closed and was so upset only to find it again one block away. Sangam forever!

Hands down the only place I will ever go to for any Indian clothing. The lehengas are so beautiful and are of very good quality. Neelam also always gives me a great deal on them and customizes the lehenga per my size, and design specifications. I got so many compliments on my mehendi lehenga and she also added in net sleeves per my request. I am definitely a loyal customer of this store for my traditional wear and wedding season outfits!
