SAIT Residence - Begin Tower

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Very unreliable services, room not clean, staff at reception are useless, smoke-free" but you smell marijuana everywhere

Had a fantastic stay at SAIT Residence. Large room, comfortable bed with epic views of the Rocky Mountains. The hotel room was extremely clean, great amenities and located conveniently on SAIT campus. Would definitely stay here again.

do not stay here. the fridge does not work. the freezer does not work. there is NO cold water in the shower or sink. the bed is awful and extremely high up. when we requested to switch rooms was all we got was “ we can’t, but we will put in a maintenance request, but i don’t know when it will be approved” save yourself the trouble. it’s awful

Got a hotel room on the top 22nd floor. Employees were nice. Room was clean and comfy, great view of the city and the streets. Breakfast had good options and it was complimentary.

Worst hospitality services I've dealt with. Other than a few of the front desk staff, and a couple cleaning staff, the workers are rude, don't know anything about anything. The elevators will drop on you randomly, and they will not do anything about it. Motel on the side of the highways have better service than this place

Do not stay here as a Student. So many headaches. I have asthma and they put me on the first floor right next to the smokers pit. They refused to move the smokers pit. I reported this to the police.

Pros: residence is close to campus so easy to get to class. Residence in Begin Tower is fairly quiet and not too busy. Students are friendly.Cons: most staff are friendly but one of them (short lady with black hair and glasses) was always grumpy and seem annoyed with having to assist people.Window in my room is bolted shut with screws so i cannot open it to get fresh air in my room.Cant drink in common room. Creates a lack of social/party atmosphere that you expect to have at a university dorm.Elevators would sometimes be broken and make it difficult to maneuver from floor to floor.

This is a great residence, apply now!As a university recruiter I have stayed in several residences before and this one is my favorite. Great private rooms, with good furniture, big beds and private bathroom inside the suites.Their rooms also have kitchens, and full size appliances. Its located right on campus and students can walk everywhere on campus within 5 minutes. Highly recommended!

Edit: they also have an open policy of discrimintation, if you are pare of a certain minority group they will kick you out at noon on your final exam day even if your exam is after that. Normal students get 24 hours after the final exam, but they have an open policy to not allow some groups that same right.Overpriced, they have a hotel mixed with the dorms and not sure how hotel side is as they seem to care about them way more than students. The black also smells terrible, they don't clean it. I had some dish soap spill in the hallway 6 weeks ago and I told the front desk the moment it happened and it never got cleaned. They have no thermostats in the rooms so on cold mornings the heat will turn on and because it's radiant heat from hot water it will still be heating aim the afternoon when it is now 27 outside. I have been to 3 other trade schools, this is by far the worst one from the huge price to the uncleanness of the place.

i am still waiting on my damage deposit cheque which they claimed would take 6-8 weeks which was fine but why have I not received it? Called the first time they said i would receive it by mid January, called the second time the staff said they have mailed it out already and it should be at my place by the end of January, called for the third time. The front desk staff says there is no manager on duty so I asked for a managers name so they could give me a call. She refused.......
