What a fantastic gem in the heart of Annapolis Royal! Friends and I stayed here recently in the two bedroom cottage on the grounds of Bailey House for a girls' getaway. It is perfectly situated within walking distance of shops, restaurants, the waterfront and the fantastic Saturday morning farmers' market. Suzan was wonderful and is both an amazing hostess and chef. Breakfast was beyond expectation - warm baked goods greeted us each morning along with perfectly steeped tea and coffee followed by a delicious main course to start our day off right. She was so helpful when it came to ideas of things to do. She is truly an ambassador for the Annapolis Royal & surrounding communities and Bailey House is not to be missed.

Beautiful historic house, in a stunning location. The owner, Susan, has a real eye for attention to detail and provides luxury accommodation with quality products. The breakfast was provided with fresh locally sourced products, with Susan providing different home cooked delights daily. We made friends with Lucy, the gorgeous resident dog, who lived having a fuss. Our only regret was having to leave!!

This is a truly historic, wonderful B&B with an outstanding owner/chef/hostess. The breakfast alone is worth the visit. The rooms are period furnished and the decorating is exquisite. Both the B&B and its owner have been featured prominently. The gardens are a delight. The location is convenient to the heart of town and all the best restaurants are within easy walking distance. Without question, this would be my first choice on return to the area and I would recommend it to family and friends without hesitation.

Our stay here was unplanned as we had a blown tire with no immediate solution, so we had to stay somewhere overnight. Our tow truck owner suggested The Bailey House. We called & reached Suzan. She was a gem & offered us her last room. We arrived by foot & explained our story. She offered to drive us anywhere we needed to go. She recommended a great restaurant for supper & suggested a few short walks. This charming 250 year older house is amazing, clean & our room was spacious with a view of the Bay.The breakfast was 5 star with a hot & cold course. We look forward to going back again. I can’t imagine a better experience in this little Village.

I stayed in February for our anniversary. It was my first time staying at a B&B and I was not disappointed. It felt like she welcomed us right into her own home, like we were wayward travellers. She treated us to a wonderful breakfast and we met such interesting people. Loved the stay and would certainly stay there again.

Great two day stay at The Bailey House. Tasty full breakfast, historic 1770 home, tastefully decorated, centrally located. We enjoyed the seating right on the river with both shade and sun options.

Suzan is the proprietor and a hostess. Our coach house was clean and thoughtfully designed. The rooms are whimsical and yet sophisticated. She incorporates some history of the area in the available reading material.Breakfasts were a time to sit together and discuss the our daily endevours. We met some wonderful shared our experiences. Suzan is quite the chef. We had a smoked Atlantic salmon omelet, scones, fresh homemade marmalades, fresh berries with yogurt and great coffee.Suzan offered dining suggestions and offered to make reservations for us. We ate at an Austrian restaurant called Compose. It was a memorable experience of tastes and ambiance. Thank you Suzan for sharing the Bailey House, your warm and enthusiastic personality, and breathtaking community of Annapolis Royal!

The Bailey House is a splendid old building constructed in 1770. The owner of this bed and breakfast has done a superb job of decorating and furnishing the rooms. Breakfast was not typical, she went out of her way to make it special. The croissants were the best I've ever had. We left feeling satisfied. Suzanne, the owner, bid us a warm farewell.

This is a very old building dating back to the 1700s and is run as a B&B by the lovely Suzan with help from her dog Lucy. The place was spotless and we had a wonderful room. Suzan has decorated the house to a very high standard, with just the right mix of old and modern. We stayed for three nights and were greeted each morning by a table groaning with food. We were well looked after and could not ask for anything more from Suzan and her amazing old house.
