Yankee Air Museum
Our family visited one Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed our visit! My kids have been infatuated with all things aviation since they went to their first airshow this past summer. While my husband and I enjoyed reading all of the displays, the kids loved looking at the exhibits and especially loved the kid's area and flight simulator computers. The gift shop is full of unique items and fun things for kids. We will definitely be back and would recommend visiting to everyone.

Yankee Air Museum
An excellent museum covering the history of the Willow Run airport, its role during WWII, and the Rosie the Riveter workers and much more. You can book rides on several of the historic planes, including a Huey service helicopter. I was thrilled to be able to ride it and it was breathtakingly wonderful!

Yankee Air Museum
A must visit for aviation and airshow enthusiasts. The yearly show is great and the special events are well worth your time. The exhibits are accessible, well put together, and very interesting.

Yankee Air Museum
This is a great museum to check out. They have artifacts and aircraft dating back to World War 1 through the Vietnam War. Also included are sections dedicated to the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds. I am just disappointed I wasn't able to visit the original building before it caught fire. I look forward to watching the Yankee Air Museum to continue to grow and expand.

Stopped by here for a quick visit while in Detroit on a business trip. This is the first time I’ve been able to return since their hangar fire in 2004, but they’ve absolutely outdone themselves rebuilding with an incredible museum and a wide array of aircraft. Incredibly friendly, inviting and knowledgeable staff were able to help me get the absolute most on my brief stop. Would highly recommend anyone in the area check it out or fly in one of their WW2 aircraft (was fortunate enough to fly in their B-17 recently as well).

Yankee Air Museum
Terry gave us a excellent tour this afternoon. First time there since the old hanger burnt. We will be going back for the Rosie the riveter display when it opens later this year. Very very happy we spent our afternoon there today.

What an excellent visit! We went to see our father's WWII experience B-17 and were not disappointed. The docent was informative, intelligent, professional, patient in answering questions. We totally enjoyed our visit.

We took the whole extended family. We really enjoyed ourselves and the interpreter was a wealth of knowledge. They also have a very nice gift shop as well. Parking is close to the door. If you buy tickets in advance they are discounted.

The museum has a few exhibits that are outstanding! Still, overall a worthy stop. I only wish a daily tour of the new hangar with the flyable aircraft, and the historic B-24 plant was available. Expect a touch of PC.
