At 88, it was time for my father-in-law to turn in his driver's license - a difficult prospect at any age. We knew a scooter would be the perfect solution to ensuring that he would still be able to get out and about. As an OT, I know the value of a good vendor and Abbey Medical Supplies ticked all of the boxes for us: non-pressuring, helpful, and knowledgeable sales staff; a chance for my father-in-law to drive the scooter inside and outside of the store; enough autonomy for us to discuss amongst ourselves; an eagerness to make the necessary adjustments so that the scooter was 'just right' for him; and timely delivery. My wife has MS and was starting to have difficulty getting up and down the stairs in our townhouse. We came to Abbey Medical to inquire about chairlifts. The staff made me feel at ease not only because of their knowledge of the product, but of their understanding of what my wife was going through.When the technician came to do the install he was very respectful of us and our home, was meticulous and took pride in his work. Before he left, he made sure that we understood how everything worked.We couldn't be more pleased!

Wayne and his staff are so helpful and knowledgeable every time I go into Abbey Medical Supplies! They have lots of equipment for rent, or to purchase, and are always ready to help you make the best choice. Last year, I purchased my mom a recliner with a lift and when she had a problem with it, Wayne himself went over to her apartment to fix it:). I would highly recommend this store for their service and reliability!

After my mom's knee surgery and my dad's hip surgery. I had to visit this stores at few different times for different kind of items and question answered. these people were professional very helpful/friendly and they had items you can rent or just outright buy it, within reasonable prices.....

Our family has used Abbey Medical for all our medical supply needs from the basic supplies to canes, walkers and hospital beds. Abbey Medical has always been helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Their team takes the time to listen and offer caring valuable advice.We have had hospital beds twice and both times they were delivered within a few days of requesting. The technicians were prompt and professional in setting up the beds. They did not rush and ensured we were comfortable with how to operate the beds before leaving.From my experience, if you want exceptional service and selection of medical supplies look no further than Abbey Medical.

I normally don't submit negative reviews but this one is an exception. On May 9, 2022, I attended this store and spoke with Lynnel requesting to order an Obus Forme back support with cushion. She showed me the Obus Forme catalogue and we both agreed on the one piece system which comes with a pre-programmed remote control. As I'm a veteran, she had to first contact Veterans Affairs to get approval before placing the order. I waited for one month without hearing back from Lynnel. I then called the store and Lynnel tells me I first need to get a doctor's note even though I have previously ordered back supports without one. I contacted Veterans Affairs who confirmed that I didn't require a doctor's note for this medical aid. I contacted the store again and updated Lynnel who told me she could have the requested back support delivered to the store within 3 days. On June 17, 2022, I attended the store and Lynnel gives me a box containing a small Obus Forme back support but it wasn't the one we had agreed on. She goes on to tell me that it works quite well for her husband and to try it out and if not satisfied, I could return it to the store. On July 12, 2022, I returned the small back support to Lynnel and told her that it didn't work for me. She then tells me that it's too bad because it's yours now. I reminded her that if I wasn't satisfied with the back support that I could return it. She says fine and tells me to leave it with her and hopefully she can resolve the issue. On July 29, 2022, I phoned Lynnel to get an update only to hear from her that she was unable to contact me as she had misplaced my contact info. To this date, Lynnel has never gotten back to me about my order. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and advising other veterans to not place orders for medical supplies at this store.

The floor staff were kind, patient, cheerful and sympathetic I was shown options and features without pressure.A special thank you to David Lamberger who is listed as a home health consultant. First, he’s very knowledgeable with the complex motorized vehicles they sell, but he also assembles and repairs them. I’ve never seen him try to up-sale. I was looking at a $6,000 solution, but after we chatted, I purchased three floor-to-ceiling poles for a fraction of that cost. David installed the three poles and made sure all was good before leaving.I highly recommend Abbey Medical Supplies in Abbotsford.
