I don’t trust a company whose owner gives himself a five star rating. Typical of a company who cannot handle negative feedback in a professional manner. I will look elsewhere for a painting company. With 35 years in the business, they should have more positive reviews.

As a Designer, I use Best Choice Painting (they are the best choice), I have also had them in my homes for various jobs all of which have been stellar. The workmanship, professionalism and kindness exceed expectations. Many thanks and much appreciation to Paul and the Best Choice Painting team.

Very unprofessional. They came to paint my kitchen. First coat. Did not even complete the one coat. Paint on my window, on my cupboards, over spots that required sanding first. Paint on my refrigerator. Who paints a coat before sanding? Left such a mess. Used a can of paint with a rusted lid for trim. Was told I would get a discount as the owner receives one from Sherwin Williams. Paint I was given does not come close to the amount I was charged, before a discount. I called Sherwin Williams for pricing.Absolutely horrendous job.They work in conjunction with S & S Concepts and Design.My experience was an interminable mess.I see reviews where people say one wouldn’t even know they were there. How come I didn’t get that?They ate here and left crumbs of food all over.Owner is intimidating. He kept calling me darling and asked if I had a husband and then a boyfriend to move something that I was quite capable of moving myself. Not appropriate.This was part of a complete kitchen renovation that has its own set of problems. Review for that will be under S & S Concepts and Designs.They asked for full payment before the job was completed.They have since pulled out and are requesting payment for things that have not yet been completed. Now they are becoming threatening.They do not like negative comments so you either have to put up with it or shut up.I am surprised at the good reviews as I experienced the total opposite.See attached photos.There was no animal fecal matter throughout the house. How dare you lie about something like that? That is despicable to make false claims. At no time was this ever mentioned to me.This was not the reason the job was not finished.It was not finished because you do not like negative comments. You expected payment before the job was completed which is certainly not the norm. The job was not completed to my satisfaction. Corners were cut and I came across more issues after you pulled out.The casings were provided by me and I did not know they had been replaced until they were done. I did not ask for this to be done.A job that is unfinished should not be paid for. It was far from being completed and was unsatisfactory.The can of paint was not provided by myself. It was brought by the painters. I had to supply a tray as you did not bring one.What kind of a Company resorts to lies when they are called out on shoddy workmanship? There were basically 2 people here most of the time and not various Tradespeople as you state. At no point was there an issue regarding fecal matter. It’s simply a lie and an excuse to try and maintain a positive outlook on your business. Had it been an issue it surely would have been mentioned in the nearly 3 weeks they were here.By the way, I have never purchased paint from Sherwin Williams, so that small rusted can of paint could not possibly be mine.Lastly, you did not repair a door that my dog had gnawed at. It was upstairs and you only dealt with the main floor. So not sure where you are digging up this information.Where are your pictures and proof of the unsatisfactory working conditions? Let me guess, you don’t have any.Shame on you!

Fabulous service. In our first meeting, paul inspects my premises, takes photos and measures to absolute detail and precision. Made my partner and I feel comfortable as a transgender couple in a new town. Paul provided us With an excellent honest quote and took full responsibility for the choice of colour if we choose to change our mind. As my wife is very picky and flaky , i appreciated Laura’s patience and kind suggestions. We loved the work , our garage and kitchen is perfect for us. Loved professionalism, hiring them again this summer to do our deck if Candy can decide on the hot tub or not. Thanks Paul we love it! Come over with your lovely wife and family soon.

I moved into my house 3 years ago and I had hired a contractor that came in and started the renovations but he wanted all the money upfront and then he left without finishing any of the jobs. As a Veteran the money that he took was my only life savings that I had left. It was enough to take care of myself for quite awhile. A friend of mine suggested that I call Paul Best and his team.I have to admit the first time I met Paul I was startled, he is very tall and he has a powerful voice. But after 30 years of working in the trades which are very loud I can understand why. As he looked around the house he said that my last contractor left a mess, he said most of the jobs were done incorrectly and there were also issues of safety that needed to be fixed.His team came in and fixed and finished all the work on the house that needed to be done. I had a team of contractors in finishing doorways and framing, then there was a team of painters that came in and finished all the painting that needed to be completed. The first time the teams came in they were here for a few weeks and everything was great. They did not ask for money upfront. Instead at the end of each week I paid for what was done or worked on during that week.I did have a few projects that needed to be done but I put them off until December. Paul came to visit in December and we talked about the projects, a walk-in closet and an ensuite for the master bedroom and a kitchenette in the basement for my daughter. I had a smaller budget this time. The teams came in around the end of December they were in early every day they cleaned up at the end of each day, they were very professional. They contracted professional electricians who first had to fix the mess the first contractor made, they contracted professional plumbers who also first had to fix the disasters that the first contractor left. These teams did everything they could to turn the house that I bought three years ago into a home that I am very proud of. I would and have recommended Paul’s company to anyone who is renovating or just changing colours.As a Veteran you usually don’t get to go home where you grew up, that’s where our families are, mothers, fathers, siblings, nephews, nieces and friends. During your career you either live in the barracks or “shacks” or you can live in military housing. When you are finally released from the military, you can move home or you can settle where you were released. That’s what I did and I bought this house that, thanks to Best Choice Painting and Contracting, I can call home, and my sons and daughter also have a place to come home to for family get togethers.
