If you want a delay in the purchase of your home. This is the best builder to go with. A few month or a few years.. Cant go wrong. I Would never recommend this company to anyone, Unless they need delays. Zero stars isn't a option unfortunately.

They own land in North York, Toronto. At the Corner of Sentinel Rd and Hucknall Rd. They've yet to maintain the lot this entire year in 2022.(HAVE TO GIVE THEM 1 STAR IN ORDER TO GIVE THEM A RATING)

Builder is greedy and no value for ethics. You will buy home and he thinks he owns you. his license should be cancelled

This was icing on the cake. The person in charge of their finances miscalculated the final tax amount they had to pay to the city. Then they sent a letter to their customers 2 years after closing asking for $2000 within 2 weeks or they would pursue this with everything they have and make you pay for lawyer costs too".Honestly if you still want to buy a "home" with this "company" after all the reviews on Google and other websites then you deserve to live in an Averton built shoe box

Poor customer service. Unethical and greedy builder. Poor quality of product and poor quality of homes. Had a bad experience with them.

I bought my first home in Pickering, there was a delay, as is expected with all builders. However, the customer service and response time was amazing from all staff at Averton. As a first time home buyer, the customer service I received from Anthony and the handymen/contractors was amazing. Their response times are very quick. Anthony was/is very helpful with any concerns and will try to help when he can or direct you. The handymen went above and beyond and also took the time to explain/educate when questions were asked. They were also so responsive and accommodating and this is something that I truly value.

Too bad there's no option to give 0 stars.I originally purchased a condo with Averton in 2020. After multiple delays, I received occupancy in November 2022.Since before moving in, everything has been very unorganized with Averton; the lack of communication, lack of professionalism and overall experience has been very undesirable. If I could have only known it would have been like this, I would have never purchased with them. We originally purchased with another builder in 2019 but when that fell through, unfortunately, for us, Averton took over the project. Not only did they only provide a two week notice to have everything ready by occupancy, which was very tight considering I also work a full-time job, but the issues since moving in have been non-stop; issues with the unit that needed fixing, poor workmanship and until now, I’m still coming across new issues that need repairing or fixing still. I didn’t have running hot water in the shower for almost two months as they were struggling to figure out the issue. The quality of work and materials are very poor. There are already scuffs on the walls as they don’t even use paint, just primer.I understand they’re dealing with a lot but it seems like a lot of the work was rushed. The outdoors has not been well maintained, the garbage and recycling bins fill up within a day as there’s only one bin each for the entire condominium. During the winter, they weren’t shoveling the snow from the parking lot properly.Although, I have noticed, they are starting to make more of effort to keep the grounds better maintained now.I’ve been told numerous times that the condo won’t be closing and officially becoming a condo corp until November - December this year; most recently, on June 1, they sent an email notifying us that the condo will officially become a condo corp and have a final closing date of June 21st. They gave only 21 days, the absolute bare minimum, to get the mortgage and everything complete. The mortgage rates right now are terrible and if they had provided an advance notice, I could have locked in a better rate much earlier and it was my understanding, this wasn’t going to happen until closer to the end of the year. I guess they rushed to get their money. Also, to extend the closing, they want 5000 a week for each week extended plus cover additional fees and costs. It’s very disappointing given that you would think they would learn to provide a better advance notice after the occupancy date situation, but yet again, they don’t seem to care about the buyers. The WORST thing was that I was notified the day before closing that closing costs are 45,000 with all fees, interest and taxes and because the builder didn’t add this to the purchase price, it cannot be added to the mortgage and that this builder does NOT credit purchasers for the HST rebate. They just want to screw over the purchasers. Who has 45000 cash on hand just like that to write a cheque in a days notice. This is by far the worst builder, I 100% do not recommend them. This whole experience has been a very unfortunate one and I truly wish I had good things to say about the condo, experience and builders but unfortunately I don’t. I would never re-purchase from Averton nor would I recommend anyone to buy from them. Please be careful if considering Averton.

We purchased our new home from Averton 7 years ago, the lady in the sales office was very nice. The house was delayed about 6 months if I remember correctly there were a number of reason for this, 2 major fires where the builder managed to burn down their own properties as well as a strike by carpenters. We took delivery of the house and had a building inspector check the property within a month for the Tarion warranty, he found a number of items all of which were repaired, mostly through Anthony the site manager who was great at getting things taken care of.The biggest disappointment was with the builder and the interior designer, she clearly did not know the product and offered limit upgrades. One upgrade we requested was insulated garage doors, the builder supplied regular garage doors with cheap insulation kits. I had to threaten the builder with the solicitor to get my refund for the cheap upgrade they offered at inflated prices, and the lady in their office was not pleasant to deal with.Overall we are happy with our house and the assistance given by the on-site team to get things to the required standard. Just disappointed with the builder and the handling of issues after we took ownership, as the customer service in the head office was non existent.

If I could post less then 1 star I would. Purchasing a new home, should be one of the best experiences of your life. However purchasing through Averton will assure you it’s not. My house is now 5 years old and I have way to many complaints to list. However I will post a couple. The gaps in my front door and garage door were so bad I had to ask for them to be replaced, when I sent the email to our contact at averton she threatened to call the police on me for harassment because I emailed her on a Saturday. The only reason we emailed on a Saturday was because that was the coldest day since we had moved in and out furnace could not keep up and ran continuously. We had to seal our front door with Vapor barrier and use our back sliding door it was so bad. They eventually sent some to “fix” the problem. Which they did not. Our master bedroom has such a bounce still you have to tip toe in one area or it sounds like thunder on the main floor. We asked for this to be looked at. They pulled up our carpet to “fix “ the problem however they fixed nothing. All they did was cause a pull in our burber carpet, when we asked for them to fix the problem they caused we were told no. I could literally go on for days with how horrible our experience was, so you may ask yourself why did wr stay with the home and not move? Because the home burned down during construction, we inquired to get our deposit back and maybe purchase elsewhere. They offered to give us our deposit back but by this time the price of homes had risen so much we hoped they would provide the equity the home had built. Which they did not. Fair enough. We purchased our home in December 2012 and did not move in until March of 2016. So much to add I can’t even fit it. Please feel free to message me I would happily advise you to never buy from this builder. 0/10 across the board on everything.
