Sugar Coat Nail Salon and Spa

Sadly I had to change my review from 5 stars to 2. I had two very good experiences here with very nice nail techs, but my most recent experience here was terrible. The nail tech was very rude and it seemed like she was rushing to get done so she could be done her day. She kept slapping my hand to make me relax, even though she had me twisted into an awkward position. Then as a result my nails got pushed into the towel causing her work to get smudged. Then she blamed it on me for not sliding my hand gently into the lamps. Her layers of gel were very uneven and she did a hack job on my cuticles, which was very painful and caused bleeding. I've been cleaning it carefully because I'm now worried about it getting infected.I'm not going to be coming back here.

Treated my this mother to a full service of a pedicure and Manicure from this Salon and spa, she reported that her experience was great and the lady that done her nails was friendly and great to talk to. The new Owner has experience as well and was very helpful and amazing at helping with the service.I love to hear when an Owner is there helping out when they can. I will be recommending to others to go and get services done.

Although I don't usually write reviews since I’m super busy, I felt compelled to share my experience this time! As a pianist who frequently records professional piano tutorial videos, I place great emphasis on the appearance of my nails. Thanks to Kathy at Sugar Code, my nails look amazing! Even with my particular requirements, she did an exceptional job. Sugar Coat has been doing my nails for close to a year now and I have never had a better experience at a nail salon! My nails are always so well done and absolutely perfect! I will always be coming back to Sugar Coat!

I’ve been here half a dozen times now, and have never been disappointed. Their set up is clean, the staff is friendly and they do a great job. I love that the staff takes the time to ensure I’m happy with the shape and length. This time I just did Acrylics and simple colour, but have had good experiences with nail art in the past.

Absolutely love this place. Started going consistently in summer of 2022. Vi is my preferred tech but all these ladies are talented, gentle, professional, and so warm and lovely to visit. Prices are a little high compared to some other places I’ve been to/heard of but you won’t be disappointed. Will always be my go to for as long as I live in Calgary.

I used to come to Sugar Coat to get lashes done (which I was very happy with then!) And this time round came to have extension nails removed and finished with a shellac manicure. My nail tech was incredibly gentle, which I needed for sensitive nail beds, and did such a wonderful job. Highly recommend coming here!

Sugar Coat is the best. This is my first ever review, which goes to show just how much I love this place! I love that they don't use drills which makes my nails so much more healthy than any other salon I've been to. Every time I go they are on time, efficient, and so kind and welcoming. Their ability to turn any kind of nail art that I have dreamt of getting into a reality for me is incredible. They are so incredibly amazing and I get compliments on my nails all of the time because of their amazing work :)

I stumbled upon this place looking for a nail salon and this one really stood out to me. My regular nail lady here, always does amazing, wonderful work and I never leave disappointed! Cute salon and very clean! It's a bit pricy, but for the quality of work? I am more than happy to pay more. I highly recommend this salon and of course I'll be back!

0 Stars!!!!I received a horrible service today! After 10 years of doing nails not only was the employee not aware of the services provided the manager was unprofessional. I got a refill and came with beautiful coffin nails but needed to fixed two . I came out with 4 different shapes, almond nails which I hate and they still use the curvy tip that is super cheap!!! I don’t recommend them if you like long, or medium size even, coffin and well shaped nails; they aren’t the place to go. Like their page they are known for almond small nails with basic design.I’m very disappointed and I told them, and I still paid for my service and the lady name Kathy on the phone known as the owner told me to never come back because I didn’t want her to fix it the next day.I was there for 2 hours for a refill; who would want to come back?Aha not that I was going to. But SO unprofessional, I’ve never had such service in Ontario.I can’t reply to your comment Kathy, but I can edit my review and I did pay I’ll post the proof so not only did I pay you asked a black person to never return on black history month :)
