The Revalie
As my time living at The Revalie has drawn to a close I feel that it is time to share my loves and problems. To begin the building is in a lovely location although relatively underserved by public transport that should improve however as the line 2 train is completed. The building is new and with that comes great amenities such as the gym, games room and study spaces. The units come fully furnished with an in suite washer and dryer and the furnishings are more than adequate for a university student although the mattresses are not comfortable in the slightest and require a mattress topper. While the units are nice they are rather undersized for the price and in all of the multi room apartments I have seen the bedrooms are inconsistently sized while the residents pay the same rate whether they get the smallest room or the biggest room. The building staff leaves a substantial amount to be desired. The front desk employees are rather rude and uninterested in assisting with problems and the back office management staff seem unable or unwilling to solve even the simplest of issues requiring their attention. While the building is located in a nice and safe neighbourhood the building seems constantly flooded with individuals that are not residents. At one point and time there was 7 day a week night time security guard however over the last couple months of my time here many nights there has been no security guard to be found.Lastly this building does not fall under Ontario’s rent control restrictions as it was first occupied after November 15th 2018 meaning the landlord can raise the rent by whatever amount they see fit and the landlord has chosen to raise the rent substantially for the upcoming year. So that is something to keep in mind if you plan on living her for more than a year.Ultimately The Revalie is a nice to live but is not with substantial problems that make it difficult to leave a high rating.

Living at Revalie was a great experience. The study space really came in handy when I was studying for exams and the gym was really motivating considering how convenient it was. The buildings are very clean and super well maintained!!

This place has a lot of potential, but unfortunately it’s poorly managed. From waiting for a member of their maintenance team to get a dolly to remove a chair for over 4 days to untimely entrances into suites, it’s unfortunate that Revalie doesn’t live up to expectations.Noise is not as big of a concern for me as others have noted, but I would like to point out security as the main concern. You will often have individuals standing outside the building entrances waiting for someone with a key to let them in. Majority of the times they are not residents at revalie, and do pose a security risk. The entrance to the amenities room required a key access and now that has been taken out as well so you will often have outsiders just sitting in the lounge/pool tables or accessing the gym that don’t even live here or guests of residence.Front end staff does a good job given that they are students. However, it doesn’t appear to be a job as much as it’s a social call. Rarely do you see them do anything.Place needs a management revamp asap, including more stringent security on who’s being allowed into the property. If you take those things away, the community is friendly and the amenities are great. Hopefully they can improve.P.S - Many fake 5 star reviews on here. Be aware!

Amenities are good but the building is not built so well. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours. Other than that it’s great.

Like the review left two weeks ago by a previous tenant, I fully agree that The Revalie as a building is great. It’s not too far from Carleton and the facilities are outstanding.Management, however, with my honest and humble opinion, do not enjoy cooperating with tenants and truly do give them a hard time. The mannerism in which this is conducted includes showing up to my room unannounced to ask about late payments (on two occasions having woken me up), and not being clear in their emails about certain filings and charges. The only productive thing that ever came out of my communication with management is when I make the payments. Up until that point, there is no consideration for the fact that you have been occupying the room and are not going anywhere. There is a bombarding sense of urgency that I have never seen anywhere else. Considering this apartment complex is much more expensive than other places, you would think that the environment would be more communicative and less demanding, but that is sadly not the case. This review is intended for people wanting to move to an environment where they can openly communicate with their landlord and not feel constantly burdened, and to inform you that there is a deficit of that here.

My time at the Revalie has been amazing! All the staff has been eager to help whenever I have questions, especially Adriana. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for student housing!

The Revalie
Amazing building for students. I really like having a gym in the same building where I live. It’s always quiet and I rarely hear others when I’m trying to sleep. The people who live here are friendly and the staff are kind and are always willing to go above and beyond to meet your needs. Overall a great place to live I highly recommend for all students at Carleton and Algonquin.

If you never have any issues at The Revalie, it's a half-decent place to live, if you ignore its ridiculous costs and inconvenient location. If you do ever have an issue, it is the worst possible establishment you could ever find yourself in.The office staff does not care about you, building problems, or their jobs. Genuinely the most useless people I have ever stumbled upon, and now that I am gone, if I ever see them again, it will be too soon. Not only are the front desk staff beyond repair, the management is just as careless, negligent, and a horror to deal with. Management does not care about its residents, but only about getting as much money from you as they possibly can. They continuously break leasing agreements, conduct illegal leasing transactions, and are a big, fat scam.I have never felt as unsafe, disgusted, and disappointed in any business as I have this one, and I would not recommend this place to even my worst enemy. Prepare for awful roommates that management will not deal with despite continuous breaking of the lease agreement, no communication from any of the staff, no responses to any inquiries or concerns, and just a genuinely terrible place to be.If you happen to want to visit Hell without dying, this is the place to be! However, if you are looking for a safe, cleanly, respectable place for you or your child to live whilst attending school, you are doing yourselves a disservice by choosing The Revalie.

This place is amazing! The units are fully furnished, which made moving in super easy. Both buildings have lots of quiet spaces for schoolwork. Personally love the learning center in building A, even has smaller isolated rooms within. I was hesitant about the building's gym before moving in, but can confidently say I had no issue transitioning from the Goodlife I used back home. The clubhouse is awesome too. Multiple ping pong tables, a pool table, some other table games, and plenty of seating make it a great place to hang out. The Revalie will even host occasional events there, open to everyone in the building. The staff is hands down the most polite, enthusiastic, and helpful group of people I've interacted with. They've gone beyond my expectations in all aspects. From answering questions to resolving any issue that's come up. If you're a student looking for a place to stay, there isn't anywhere I'd recommend more!
